Other unique activities include punting on the river in Oxford or Cambridge. If in Oxford – go see where they filmed scenes from Harry Potter and Inspector Morse.

Go to Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour and see where they held the first Boy Scout Camp.

At Porthcurno in Cornwall you can see where they paid the first transatlantic telephone cables.

Explore an Iron Age Hill Fort – like Maiden Castle in Dorset.

You could create a list a mile long I guess.
