I’ve always found Ryanair very efficient, and as you say, very little different from any other airline. The other one I use, more often really, is Flybe. Possibly not quite as cheap as Ryanair but they have been excellent too. I like the smaller airports, they are often closer to where you want to be and they are so much less hassle.

What a wonderful time you had. I don’t fly much anymore, but I would if I could.

Well, where I live we’re now ‘downgraded’ to tropical storm warning. Which is great news from our vantage point, but where our son lives it’s another story…Houston is still in line for the ‘big hit’ later tonight or early Saturday morning. And we still have power. I’ve been trying to get as much work done around the house just in case water or power goes out before this storm hits land…I’m done. All I can do that is humanly possible. We’ve shuttered the windows up and just wait for the worst to pass us.

Have had an urge to go there so thanks for taking us with. Ryanair seams to be okay after all, so I’ll try to convince Diane we should go.

Great to see Sweden from a new angel too – the landscape seams very familiar.

Looks like you had a great time in Brastilava. I have never been there but would sure like to try it. I like the way Ryanair lets you check the prices to find out when it is least expensive to travel. What you here tell is so %&%# right compared with the traditional airlines. They have old airplanes and have dropped all kind of service as they did have before. Simply because new business models do not harmonize with the unions in the old airline Companies.
“One’s bread is another one’s dead” – it’s an old proverb.

Technology changes competition faster than most of us realize. Hence also consumer behaviour.
As you said: Ordinary people can now meet new cultures – and afford it. I do think that is very important for people to understand other cultures and nations which is utterly important on the path to World Peace.

Pollution? Haha. Computers World Wide do pollute more than all the Airline Companies with their flights together. How come?
Energy consumption from non renewable power plants.

You are, in a way, lucky to have the ability to “go when we want”. Which we alas do not have – Anna as Teacher and when the School have vacation/hollydays – then the prices are allways on top – even Ryanair’s.

I fully agree with you ! I haven't had the opportunity to use Ryan Air because it doesn't go where I want to go, lol ! but friends of mine use it on a regular basis and especially the Italians living here ! The airport is near Charleroi and would be closer for me then the one in Zaventem (Brussels) ! Gattinas last blog post..

True that a flight is basically about getting to the destination. Doesn’t matter if they provide free cookies and balankets and stuff, so long as they transport you to your destination. And if that’s all you want, then it should be as cheap as possible.
