One of my favorite photo memories from this past summer at our annual farm holiday, was from when I found Frida, one of the farm cats, halfway into the lawnmover with only her back visible – teasing a little farm frog in there! Ha ha…

It’s definitely all about the moment, to catch so called “Kodak photo moments”. I love those kind of photos. Do you have any to share with us? Please do!

Good Bye Faro Island

Yesterday was our last day at our summer paradise island Fårö, Gotland, Sweden. We had 4 weeks there this year with chilly unstable weather, but also some good days. Not at all like the summers used to be, so it was not so difficult to leave the island – and I will chock you when telling you that we will NOT go back there ever again…

It’s true! It was our last summer at the island, for private reasons I can’t tell you. It’s a bit sadness involved, but still: we are done with the island now and ready for other summer adventures!

Boys Playing at Limestone House

I captured a couple of boys playing at an old limestone cottage at Rute, Gotland island, the other day. They played with a water barrel in the corner of the house offering me an excellent photo opportunity!

Today when you’re reading this, we’re leaving our summer island, going home to be at home only for one day and then our long roadtrip to Europe starts!!!

Skarsviken Beach View

Another beach view at Fårö island, Gotland, at Sweden’s east coast. This is Skärsviken beach, one of the smaller beaches at the island, but equally nice as the bigger beaches.

This summer though, the weather has been quite windy and unusually chilly to be in the middle of the Swedish summer unfortunately. I haven’t been swimming in the Baltic Sea even once this summer and we’re soon going home again, on Tuesday actually.

My hopes goes to our Europe trip…

Tee 10 Slite Golf Course, Gotland Island

Mr Lifecruiser at Tee 10 at Slite Golf Course, Gotland Island in Sweden. There are several great golf courses at the Gotland island, but Slite is where the yearly local golf competition for Fårö island is played.

Surprisingly enough, we haven’t been at many pure golf travel trips so far. Maybe there will be more golf playing if we travel to Spain this winter…?

Visby Street Mirror Photo with Lifecruiser x 2

We’re always having fun when out taking travel photos. This time we did catch ourselves slightly distorted mirrored in a street mirror in old Visby town, Gotland island.

In the mirror in the background you can see a typical Gotlandic white house with the special Gotlandic blue color at the window and door frames including red roses. I just love it!

Working? No, holiday!

This was a text on a T-shirt in one of the clothes stores down at Visby town, Gotland island where we have been several times during our holiday now. The text in English means: Working? No, holiday! And that is exactly what we’re having!

The text "Jobbe?? Naj semesta" is actually Authentic Gotlandic and not pure Swedish. Gotland island also have it’s own very old language called Gutamål, which can be quite difficult to understand even for us Swedes sometimes.

Vintage Silverpilen Motorcycle

At Kuten Bensin at Fårö island, you can spend a lot of time going through all the old yard things he keeps there, Thomas, the owner of Kuten. This is just one of the many interesting things with a history, an old Silverpilen motorcycle.

Silverpilen is an old motorcycle that were sold between 1955-1965 by Huskvarna in Sweden. It was counted as a light motorcycle with the weight under 75 kilo and were allowed for 16 years old to drive.

Also notice the old rusty gas pump in the background. He also has an old car graveyard around the place.

Giving you all some Sunday Love by showing the hearts we did draw at our engagement beach the other day here at our summer island Fårö, Gotland island’s norther tip, at the east coast of Sweden.

The very classic romantic thing to do at a beach when you’re there with your beloved one, right? So go out there making hearts popping up everywhere people!

Holiday Island Beach Walking by Lifecruiser

We have been at our summer island Fårö for two weeks now and the past week we have been taking beach walks at our engagement beach Norsta Auren at several times. Many other even take a bicycle ride along the beach there – or some by horse.

We have had really peaceful and relaxing hours there, laying among the sand dunes away from the wind. Yes, it has been quite windy this week, but that was only refreshing, making it exactly the right temperature to not sweat at all.

Simply divine holiday times making us very relaxed… We really needed that after a couple of tough and busy years.

Today when you read this, we’re on our way down to Visby town to pick up our Norwegian friend Kari who arrives by airplane and after that Jane that arrives by the ferry.
