btw. We bought 85% of our X-Mas gifts this year in a shop – owned and driven by the few indigious left in Argentina – NW. All home made sweaters – Alpacha and Vicunia wool.

It seems like shopping online is the stress free way of handling the holidays … most places are pretty fast and then you can go to the mall simply for fun. For me standing in line for ice cream is much less stressful than a line for a gift that I absolutely need while racing with the clock to get more gifts before all the stores close! The beauty of the Internet is that it never closes!

people buy a lot on internet, now and I can understand them!
You can buy at home in your quiet place!
I like to offer perfume, flagrances… It’s always a great pleasure to discover the new ones in special shops! When I wear a super perfume it was like I was another woman! In my dreams, of course!

Have the same problem here in California. Everything’s the same old, same old. I’m racking my brains for some great gifts, but it’s difficult to come up with something which is nice and unique and affordable. That cash machine would likely come in very handy to sponsor a vacation in Hawaii…

We seem to get more and more large shopping centers here in Melbourne, Australia but not more choice. Each center tends to have exactly the same chain stores. I do a lot of my shopping online to find the more unusual or hard to find gifts. I shop online even at stores that are very close to me if I am buying more than 2 or 3 items - to make the delivery costs cheaper and sometimes free. This way I avoid the crowds and can spend more time at places that do tend to instill Christmas spirit for me. I took my sons to a huge Christmas decoration shop today. It was fun just spending time browsing. I could not resist buying a light up reindeer for my roof though - so cute. Decorating houses with outdoor Christmas lights has become popular in Australia over the last few years. I think this was always the case in USA. What about in Sweden and other countries I wonder? Are we getting older Capt’n? or is it just that we so much enjoyed the good old day: when Christmas started in December and not in November with overdecorated malls and shops… when the best gifts you gave and got was hand made – even the candles on the Xmas table – and when the TV was commercial free?
I heard on the news today that the younger generation get the most Xmas spirit by shopping!?!
Have we all forgotten Beatles: Money…. can’t buy me love?

A few days ago, I went to the main shopping district where I live in California. I was shopping for a birthday present for myself, and completely forgot about the holiday rush. It was madness! I deferred my purchase until later, and resolved to do ALL my shopping over the internet.
