I think they are happy because they don’t actually live in that house so when the tree catches on fire and burns the house down they will be somewhere else..
Lifecruiser: That’s why we now live in a small apartment…. *lol*
These were times ! Looks like friends of my parents ! (Can’t say it’s them, they were not so nice)
I just finished my suitcase and Pookie sits in of course ! In Sharm-el-Sheik it’s nice 24°C and sunshine as usual ! I am happy to escape the awful weather here in Belgium. If the Internet connection works I will pop in from time to time but in Egypt you never know ! Our son was in Laos for 12 days and today they are going to Vietnam ! What an idea
Lifecruiser: I think Pookie want to come too, after all Egypt really is a land for the cats, isn’t it? There she really can be the queen. Do you have to mention TRAVEL all the times… I wanna go tooo!!! *lol*
Ya know… this is sO pretty… but that whole idea of real LIGHTED candles on the tree… it just TERRIFIES me! I have a friend… living over there! – in Sweden … who STILL does it! Scary scary scary!!!
Lifecruiser: Thanks Melli. Yes, I’m not sure that I could have lighted candles either. I want to be able to relax and have a holiday in peace and quiet…
How beautiful is this?!!!! I love it, Mrs. L!!!
So pretty….I’m thinking it would be soooooooo cool to have a tree with candles. What a great tradition!
Happy Holidays. Thanks for dropping by.
Lifecruiser: Thanks Wystful. I think so too. candles gives such a romantic light, doesn’t it? Happy Holidays to you too, I’ll pop over soon again
I remember those postcards from my childhood – but with Norwegian flags. And I also remember the living candlelights on the christmas tree. Every year lots of houses burned down ’cause of them. After all, we are still alive.
Lifecruiser: Yes, luckily! I feel very much alive after all things we have to do before xmas .-)
That’s a lovely old postcard. I like my little tree with real candles but the big ones just give me an unsafe feeling ….
merry xmas and happy wednesday!
Lifecruiser: Yes, I don’t think that I would want to have live candles. Too risky. The same to you Mar, i’ll pop over
Those people look very white and blond, they seem happily married, are patriotic and unconcerned by rising insurance policies and law suits. Yep, that’s sixty years ago alright.
Btw, love the new favicon. Wish I had me one :- (
Lifecruiser: Thanks. He he, quite a detective you are
You know – I miss the real candles on a Christmas tree. We always had real candles when I grew up…
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Mrs. Lifecruiser
Lifecruiser: You did? We didn’t actually. That must have been wonderful. Candlelight are such a delight comparing to electric. Very warm. Merry Christmas to you too Iris
