When we were in Spain in March, there were orange trees growing along the streets everywhere. The orange flowers were blooming and smelled just divine, giving us such a wonderful spring feeling!
No big deal to you maybe, but we don’t have them over here in Sweden, too cold climate zone, so we really appreciated it.
This one was a bit strange I thought – a very lonely green orange among all the other orange oranges.
Maybe that one also was a tourist…? *giggles*
It was so fun when we had orange trees and grapefruit and lime trees in our yard when we lived in Florida. We could go out in the morning and pick the best fruit that day! But no citrus fruit here in New Hampshire as it is too cold!
Yes, I too like the scent of Orange blossoms!

You know, I never gave it much thought. Are oranges green before they become ripe?

Hi Captain,
This is my first time here, wow what a great looking blog.
Your orange tree picture reminded me of when my children were young. We were on holiday in Portugal with ten other families from our club. Our two boys were only 1 and 2 years old.
The place we were staying at had an orange tree covered walkway leading to the villas. Every time we came back to the villa from the beach or shops, the boys would pick an orange. No problem you would think, except they also did this when any of the other parents took them out.
At the end of the holiday when we went to pack, we found three suitcases full of oranges. Good times (not for the poor gardener I suppose)
All the best – John
Isn’t it wild? I love your green orange

That is truly weird… Maybe the green orange is from the other tree seeking to be his partner…

The Green Orange?
From Mars of course, where else? LOL.
Why stribe for Oranges when we have our forests with all our Nordic Berries? Blue, red and yellow.
But, I must admit – it’s something about climate;-))
