I do hope that you will continue to write your travel diary. Not all people have the time or money to travel different parts of the world. When the time comes that you are weak and old that traveling is not an option anymore, you will thank yourself that you kept a travel diary.

Although, growing old may not happen some time soon, the experiences and discoveries from your trips will be with you always.

pictures of my travels as well as notes for an after-trip report.
These reports were then sent to friends so they could vicariously enjoy my trips. I never thought about a diary, but, in combination with photos, this is a great way of encapsulating one’s experiences.
It had never occurred to me to share my experiences via a blog.

Becoming a blogger has changed the habit of taking detail pictures though, to remember when I write posts about it.
Like this evening when I had a romantic dinner with my wife in Brussels and took pics of both the menu and the servings. I hope I’ll find the time to post about it soon.

Our firts one from our journey to Chile is, yes it’s a wonderful experience to read and look into.
We will do the same when going to Argentina next week. We will not bring our computers. Which means, comments and reports will be rare for more than two weeks. Scary – blogaholic as I am.

I am oh, SUCH a travel diarist (actually I’m an everything diarist) and it’s been that way, pretty much all my life.

My Travel Blog (www.travel.thevoiceinmyhead.com) takes longer to update than my diary (which I write in daily) because of all the photo resizing & uploading involved. But, still I persist, c’est fun, non?!

An automatic started Video camera on my head to record the world from my point of view!!!! I have wished to have that too, even a tiny camera not necessarily a video, wouldn’t that be great?? except for we wouldn’t have time to watch our trips and everybody else’s!
Whenever I am away I take my agenda with me to take short notes or copy down things I read/find , names to google, etc. :wink:
