Another lifebuoy spotted when we were out on a roadtrip around Stockholm. A lifebuoy from Batumi Global star. I haven’t been able to find so much info about it, but my guess is that it’s a cargo ship.
Batumi is a city on the Black Sea coast and capital of Adjara, an autonomous republic in southwest Georgia. As the main port of Georgia it’s a very important port that includes shipbuilding and has capacity for 80,000-tonne tankers to ship materials from Central Asia. Most of the city’s economy revolves around tourism.
I doubt it that we’ll ever make it to Batumi, but we have been making some other travel plans lately, for later this year. I’ll come back about them.
Happy New Travel Year everybody!
