You don’t have to spend a lot of money on food out traveling if you don’t want to or can afford it. There are very easy budget lunches to make for road trips. Like this egg and sausage rye bread sandwich with coffee – not wine, sorry…

It’s really not that difficult to prepare a budget lunch of any kind to take with you on road trips and actually: very often it tastes much better than any bought lunch!

Egg is an extra ordinary filling food source. All the protein in it make you feel full a long time. Boiled or fried, your choice.

I do this always, the sandwiches along the highways are not good. I also take fruits along all in a picnic box.

Yes, Gattina, taking fruits, nuts or dried berries also are healthy snacks to take with you on a road trip, in case of any “emergency monster hungry attacks” *giggles*

Eggs are appropriate food to eat on a roadtrip especially if you are tight on the budget. When you come to think of it, even those people who can afford to spend money, love to eat eggs.

It’s not just a good source of protein but an egg is endoubtedly delicious anyway you cook it.
