We visited Prater amusement park but didn't take any rides. Yes that Starflyer looks scary to me to!! So the rides didn't change much since we went there 6 years ago! What really amused me is the "Merry-go-round" with kids riding on real ponies that go round and round a circle. Inspired colours in the structural design & signage. Very warming to the soul to see talent like that. Loved how the bum-shot has the watermark so nicely placed too. It almost looked deliberate. lol.

You are so right when talking about expectations: We must see each place in it's own setting and as it. That's what's makes different countries and cultures fascinating. How fun. I can’t ride much anymore either. Hubby and I are both scared of heights so those first three rides are totally out of the question. Especially that third one. Never.

Glad you had a great time and I enjoyed the slideshow. I wouldn’t mind visiting there at all. After all what a history this place has. Treading on grounds that the aristocracy once ruled.
