I’ll try to keep up this Lifecrusier Cyber Cruises as long as possible.
How would this Captain be at 90 years old….?
Let me tell you….
As an old hag I will be standing at the railing of the Lifecruiser cruise ship holding my hat (not Melli’s!) tight so it wouldn’t blow away in the hard wind.
A gentleman (Renny? Tor?) will be approaching me and say:
- Excuse me, ma’m. I don’t want to be too forward, but do you know that your dress is blowing up in the wind?
- Yes, I know, am I going to answer, I need both my hands to hold onto my hat.
- But, ma’m, you must know that your privates are exposed! says the gentleman honestly.
I’ll be looking down, then back up at the man and replying:
- Sir, anything you see down there is 90 years old, butt the hat is bought yesterday!

So I decided to throw in a Friday Feast post for the first time in a long time, so you have something to read while you’re waiting for my other usual Friday post….
Just to warm you up a bit! *giggles*
Appetizer
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how polite are you?
Everything is relative, isn’t it? So here in Sweden I’m sure I get a score of 9 of 10 (I’m an optimist :-), butt if we’re in Japan I’m sure I’ll only climb up to 2 as a score…
Soup
What was the last thing that made you laugh out loud?
My crazy neighbors actually (the watch dogs *giggles*), shouting ill-tempered things right out in the air from the balcony because they’re too chicken to say things right to the persons they’re angry at….
I can’t do other than smile at them. If they behaved like normal people and actually talked about the problem with us or the others (yes, we’re not alone to be jumped) there wouldn’t be any problem. Though they find problems where no one else find problems…
I guess they need to GET A LIFE! Oh, I can be such a tease when it comes to idiots… *giggles*
Salad
Who is your favorite cartoon character?
Garfield without doubt. I love that fat cat. He’s a hungry monster exactly like I am!!! Only difference is that he’s totally cool and I’m not. Well, a little. In my left big toe. *giggles*
Main Course
Tell about the funniest teacher you ever had.
Teachers can be funny…? I had no idea…. My experience is that they can destroy the most interesting subject with their monotone and uninterested voices…

So yesterday came our last day at Fårö, after 4 weeks on the island that not only we have come to love, but also a lot of famous Swedish persons. Among them we found Ingmar Bergman, the world famous Swedish film director.
We reached by the message that he had passed away early Monday mo(u)rning. You know, rumors travels fast on a little island!
Mother nature seemed to cry for him too - the whole sky were having tears dropping down on us…
Per, the beloved farmer we rent our summer living from, have of course met Ingmar butt not only that, he also have played a smaller role in one of his films, I can’t remember which one though. He has played in another Swedish film too. They hired local people on the island to get it more authentic.
One of his tasks was to crash a piano and he got harsh order from Bergman to be really ill-tempered and make the pieces fly!
…and so he did and the pieces were flying around and also hurting Per so the blood were flowing from a minor wound and Bergman were very happy about it!
Otherwise it wasn’t very often he was spotted at Fårö, he kept for himself in the part of the island he has fenced for him and his family.
Of course, tourist often asks questions about where Bergman live/d, butt very seldom they did get any answer - or a very floating answer that they don’t really know exact. OR as Per once did: send them (on bicycle) in the wrong direction to bike for miles and miles…. *giggles*
Island people stick together - as they should do, it’s all a matter of good neighbor spirit - and survival.
Speaking for myself, I felt sorry for Bergman when he lived, I think he had a very rough life from the beginning - how else could he do all this dark films…? I just can’t watch them, it’s just too much depression feelings even if it may be well done.
So I really hope that he has found his peace now, as he did at wonderful Fårö.
For us, we left Fårö with sorrow in our hearts as usual anyway, butt we might not wait a year before going there again. We might make a trip there in the early spring, to fix some things with the cottage - like new floors, painting and a new outdoor stair.
The only nice thing with coming home is the wonder of flowing and warm water, not to have to carry in cold water in buckets! It’s heavenly to stand in the shower for ages!!!
We have been good, already emptied our suitcases and done a lot of laundry, though most of the clothes were unused since it were thin summer clothes and it has been to cold this summer for them.
We’ve never experienced such a windy summer vacation either. Cold winds every day. One funny thing with that is that we had to drink to keep up the warmth - so now we hope that we can recover a bit at home…
There were a lot of post too when we arrived home and - as I suspected - not only fun letters…. The social security has tried booked a meeting with me during July - how dumb can they be? The whole Sweden is NOT working during July since it’s when EVERYBODY is away on vacation. *sigh*
Anyway, they booked me in a new day, the 30th of August, for a meeting though I think it’s a waste of time since my Doctor isn’t ready with my treatment for the Fibromyalgia yet. He said that we should try another medicine, butt he has to be present while I do, IF something goes wrong. (Doesn’t sound very reassuring, does it…?)
He is on vacation right now, so that is planned for the 21th of august with some blood tests (Thyroid) the 20th, which is making me STUCK here when I actually want to go for some last minute sun travelling!!! *bummer*
I really need to go away somewhere warm and sunny and rehabilitate my back after this cold and damp summer. I do hope that I will be able to do this.
…and No, I can’t go NOW, because I need some time to recover first (!) and visiting my old Mom too!

These photos is from the other night, when it was almost a full moon here at Fårö. Of course photos can never do it justice, butt you get a feeling of it anyhow.
Isn’t nature just grand? Making such a beautiful art for us all the time?
This year we haven’ spotted the unbelievable beautiful sunsets that use to be over here and that’s because of the bad weather we’ve had this summer.
…and what about this sculpture outside the Fårösunds Library - no sign who is the creator of it though:
I personally love how this womans hair is blowing in the sea wind:
Another art in the nature was last night when we ended up on an outdoor birthday party at some houses away from the farm. From the beginning it was Jane (Mr L’s daughter) and her boyfriend Jocke that should go there, butt after some beer and wine at the farm, we decided to come along!
Even Mr L’s ex came with us, butt she didn’t stay as long as we did - and we didn’t stay as long as the youngsters! We left at one o’clock in the darkest part of the night, finding our way home in the darkness along the old farmer road with only farm fields at the side. Almost alone, except that there came a taxi with more guests to the party.
Of course, the fact that there was a live band in their garden, playing heavy rock music so we could hear it as it was at the farm, made us feel a bit old. Butt just a bit! We did dance to the music and enjoyed ourselves anyway.
No pictures though since I left my cell phone camera at home as a safety precaution….
Tonight we’ll meet Paco and Selena for some farewell drinks.
Tomorrow is our last day here, so, no post tomorrow probably, since we will come home in the middle of the night, taking the evening ferry from Gotland to Nynäshamn.

An artist in work: what could be more creative than Selene when she made a birthday cake for her little Piccolo’s 3 years birthday…?
Also the decoration around the table is creative, since it’s not easy to find things to decorate with when you’re not at home and on a island with no such stores!
I can tell you that ALL her cakes, buns, pie’s or salads - or any food - is like artwork!!! Absolutely mouth watering… *drooling heavily*
Just look at these photos:
You can see here that he liked the cake:
…and not only Piccolo loved the cake - me too, it was the absolutely best cake I tasted ever!!!!
She is just as creative as her husband Paco with his paintings at the Strandskogens Café at Fårö, a summer paradise island in the Swedish east coast where we have been almost 4 weeks now.
Their heartwarming hospitality sure is something we will remember in the cold winter!
They have been exceptional service minded, becoming good friends and feeding us even after they’ve closed the café and inviting us to dinner with them - and who says no to Selenes home cooked dinner…? YUMMY!!!!
Click here to see a slideshow with the pictures from Piccolo’s birthday in larger size.
We’re leaving Fårö the upcoming Monday. *sobbing*

Are you ready for the bloggers paddle babble…? Are you sure? *giggles*
As you A-Team and A-Swab Team Cruisers know, Tor and Anna came here to visit us at Fårö a couple of days. I think it will be best if Tor tell you about the adventures on the way over here by himself, butt let me tell you that they were staying over night very close to here the last night.
Of course, since they arre A-Team Cruisers, they knew to bring the very best gift for the Captain:
Captain Lifecruiser prepairing for the boat trip:
All aboard, paddle for your life - and the champagne!
More gigglewater to the crew!!!
What a captain! Tor is wordless…
This is how you can become after the trip with Captain Lifecruiser… *giggles*
I only drank this much:
When they arrived here they were surprised to see that we had arranged a camping caravan on the farm for them during their stay. We couldn’t let them overnight in a tent in this cold and sometimes rainy weather!
Anna coming out after an inspection:
Their view from there:
Right from the beginning, the laughters echoed all around the farm in a very crazy, relaxed atmosphere. We did feel like we already knew each other, despite the fact that this was the very first time we saw each other!
Of course, they are as crazy as we are and that might have had something to do with it…. *giggles*
It’s really fantastic how the blogosphere can connect people all over the world!
Relaxing a bit the first day:
Getting some exercise by walking at the beach Norsta Aurar, it’s about 3 kilometer long and it’s actually our engagement beach!
Finding a good spot in the sand dunes to warm up a bit from all the wind:
Look how big I look! *giggles*
In the evening we had a party at the farm - I think Tor liked it, what do you say?
Here he is talking with Renny and handed over the phone to me, so I had a very nice chat with Renny - and got the hugs and kisses from Renny and Diane afterwards as Tor had promised Renny!
Though I forgot to give some back to Renny and Diane! My mistake! Here they comes…. XOXOXO
…and this is the normal party captain:
Though I’m not really sure if this is my dream toad Mr Lifecruiser or if it’s some other guest arriving ;-)
We did manage to do some sightseeing too. Kutens Bensin as I wrote about before:
The Helgumannens old fishing village and Anna with raincoat:
Down by the rauk area:
Actually, it was a bit difficult to take photos since it was very rainy outside. Hm, come to think about it: inside too since the gigglewater was flooding…. *giggles*
Also the Lauters Café while the worst rain and wind were passing by - salami and brie is never wrong:
Some how, we were still hungry and Tor was eating the Rose at Fårögårdens restaurant!
OK, it only look like that… *giggles*
Actually we had something so ordinary as this:
Since they came here at the worst occasion - with bad weather forecasts and us tired already from all the earlier partying for weeks, I’m almost afraid of what they’re going to write about their experience over here - seeing Fårö and us from our worst side!!!
The last night I totally forgot to take photos! We’re having a very good time and laughing sooooo much!
Thank you so much Tor and Anna for a wonderful party time together :-)
We only had two days and times goeas fast when having fun!
Bye, bye and hugs to Tor and Anna!

Where have we been???
Well, let’s just say that it has been a lot of partying…. *giggles*
…and a lot of problems with the internet connection so I couldn’t post anything at all yesterday because of that.
Since last time you heard from me, we had a BBQ party at the farm or to put it right, it was an opening of our nearest neighbours (at the farm) verandah or terrrace.
All the people at the farm plus some others came along during the evening so there was a lot of fun.
We’ve been partying for the past WEEKS now, so no time (energy!) for blogging!!
We throw out a lot of names for the terrace, my suggestion was Rosvida so I’ll call it that. Our neighbour and the farmer held an opening speak and then… the champagne were flooding!
Some of the food:
…and of our excellent home brew!
Don’t ask what’s in it… *giggles*
Some of us:
Mr Lifecruiser’s admirers ;-)
OK, I never remember to take photos before I throw myself over the food, so now you have to see this half eaten grill stick!
No pictures from later in the evening, the photographer took some free time!
…or maybe it’s the censorship that striked… *giggles*
A toast for the man who made all this possible:
Our beloved farmer host!
So what was up next after this…?
My dear A-Team Cruisers know the answer:
Tor & Anna came here, to Fårö!
To be continued…..

So are you curious of what we did yesterday…? Of course you are!
We drove away from our Fårö island over to the island of Gotland, to a place called Roma Kungsgård (Kings manor) where they have a glasshouse and theater.
The theater is hold at The Cloister ruin:
Some of the theater costumes at Roma Kungsgård:
We saw hos a Polish glassworker made a glass from the beginning to the end. He only works there at Roma Kungsgård, with this wife too, at the summers.
Some of the glass art there:
Other art there:
Something “sheepy” to shop:
…and a special hat for Melli:
European elder (Sambucus nigra) lemonade and to the right bluberry lemonade and some oldfashioned home made candy:
An art gallery with an exhibition of the Swedish painter Barbro Sandström:
After the glasshouse we went to Dalhem Museum railway:
They also had some old stuff in the museum:
Of course we had to drink some coffee at the café too:
They had a lot of old photos from the railway on the walls and it was real interesting to read about them.
Jane went down to Visby a couple of days to party with some girlfriends, coming back Sunday again. Another person has arrived today: Mr Lifecruisers ex. She and Jane will live together when Jane comes back from Visby, in another little cottage at the farm. Up to now Jane shared a caravan with Kari.
So there was only Kari that went with us to the Lauters Bar Disco in the evening, which is situated in an old barn and have a very relaxed style. The other at the farm were too tired to come, execpt from the farmer himself, butt he went to another place, the restaurant at Sudersand.
Though I have to tell you that the evening ended quite bad for Mr Lifecruiser (who was our driver!): he got food poisoned! We suspect from the Cashew nuts he ate at the Roma Kungsgård, because they tasted “funny”….
Poor Mr Lifecruiser! Butt he got better as soon as he got rid off all the bad nuts thankfully. Never eat anything that tastes funny!
Tonight will be a quiet evening - I think! *giggles*
Sorry, no time for visiting you all - this post took all my internet time :-)
