Maybe you've got something there *lol* I take it lighthearted and see it as fun music entertainment and have no problem to watch, even if I do some swearing in misbelief sometimes over how certain songs can end up so well placed.... It's an old competition tradition and it's all about a certain genre of songs, which may not be the most advanced musically, but that's it. It's nice that so many countries meet and work together too :-) I try to see things positive. *lol* :shock:Please not a world one, it was sad enough to wath this one.lol

To be honest I hate Eurovision. It's getting worse and worse in my opinion. The songs sound like typical pop candy pieces and it's definitely not my type of enertainment. :) Lifecruiser: I can somehow understand that Kasia. I often get the feeling that the results in the contest shows the wrong image of what kind of music people really like. It's a bit like statistics, which also often gives a false image of facts because it depends on who is answering :-) I love almost all kind of music and I'm always listening trying to find something in the music. This contest was from the beginning about the melody in the songs participating, not just any songs, but in this genre. That criterias may have slipped away a bit nowadays. I guess I look at it a little bit more openminded, trying not to condemn. It would be nice though to have a similar contest but with different kinds of music categories! I am back…

I have never heard of Carola or a song contest like that. Lifecruiser: That's nice to hear :-) It has going on since 1956, but I guess it's not spread so much to people outside Europe. Maybe that will change now when they're offering other parts in the world to have their contest and then after that to have a World contest. I have the feeling I will learn a lot from your blog. I'll have to look out for her music. Lifecruiser: Yes, I know, we're obviously good at it ;-) and her voice is really worth to listen to! Sweden has produced some top quality bands and singers for quite a while now.
