I totally agree with #3, 4 & 5. Which is why I am only commenting to this TT today (it’s Sunday!)

I hate brief comments or comments that indicated that the reader didn’t even read the post.

I try to visit people who visit me but it’s not always possible. If I do take the time to go I try to give it my all, otherwise I sometimes just don’t visit just for the sake of visiting.

I blogged about something like this similar a few weeks ago on my TT which I don’t believe you read, or at least you didn’t comment to, so I’ll give it to you now if you’re interested. (Not trying to get more hits, just trying to save you the trouble of looking for it - I try to be kind that way, but maybe I shouldn’t bother because people interpret it the wrong way.

I am starting to be a lurker on some sights but only because they never visit me or comment so I’m not bothering to comment on theirs. What’s the point? I should really just stop going but I hate to admit that I am kind of hooked on their blogs, as lame as the blogger may be. These are not people who have alot of traffic either which I can understand you can’t visit everyone if you are very popular. Maybe they just don’t like my blogging but I would like to know in a constructive way if that is the case. You can’t cater to everyone and you have to be true to yourself when you blog. Anyways, these bloggers are what I refer to as the snobby bloggers in my TT above.

Lifecruiser: Thank you Claudie :-) And it’s not at all difficult to understand your english and I wouldn’t laugh at your english either - on the contrary - I think it’s worth even more because you’ve at least tried to comment. I know that it can be difficult to get french people to speak English and it’s a pity. It doesn’t matter if it isn’t 100% right, you get yourself understood anyway and that’s what’s matter :-)

I know what you mean, we blog, we love the comments, we blog some more. It is totally addicting! Language is a common barrier, though, and if more people understood that there would probably be far less bickering. He said/she said/What I meant Was…. the written word is hard to hear, sometimes!

Lifecruiser: I need your comment just beacuse it’s YOURS :-) Your words are so true, the written word can be much harder to hear when you don’t hear the other persons vioce or can see face expressions etc.

I’m fascinated by other countries and cultures and this is the first outside US blog I’ve found (at least that I find interesting or is in English :smile:) so I’m adding you to my blogroll!

My blog is still fairly new, so I worry a lot about the lurkers–I’m still in a nervous stage of letting the world know my strange ways, thoughts, and ideas! Comments and the social interaction are one of the main reasons I blog!

And I think I’m going to have to try your potato dish–sounds yummy!
