Sorry you've lost yours. There's a big step between the point and shoot and the SLR's, so I can imagine the feeling! Thank you sharlet. I did pay about $820 for the camera. Canon's still is a good choice - if you're up to changing linses and can manage without the extra display on the top. You just have to decide what's best for you. The smaller point and shoot cameras is very good to begin with if you never had one, to see what you think about it.
