Moving Love

Posted by Lifecruiser in Love, Wise words

“If you run in to each other in the street and the man says Pardon me and the women says You are welcome. Then it can happen that they move in together”.

[ Anna, 7 year ]

I wonder if her parents met each other that way or where in earth she did get that idea from? Looks like some people moves really fast!

Naughty film in the bedroom

Posted by Lifecruiser in Pets

Oh my, such a naughty net pet he is, our dear Basil!

He was drunk last night and wobbled around in the ceiling in our bedroom, seemed all dizzy. A real party animal he is. He always want to be where we are, so he sleeps in our bedroom too.

Today he has kept him self in the darkness in the wardrobe , so probably he has a hang-over and can’t stand the lights.

We’re just waiting for him to introduce us to a girlfriend - but this I say: They will not be allowed to sleep in our bedroom then…

We strongly suspect that he maybe is sneak filming in our bedroom too, so we’re not going to let him have a cellphone with built in camera, just to be on the safe side!

Oooops, I do hope that he isn’t going to put out the naughty film on the net….

No spy or secret agent material

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys
Mr Lifecruiser no spy material

Mr Lifecruiser is probably not going to like that I tell you this, but as usual I take my chance to do it anyway. This time it’s about all the strange and fun things he do in the nights… (No naughty thoughts now, I’m not going to write about our fun exercises we do! Or maybe I will, but not now! *making you curious*)

He is always talking in his sleep, long and very interesting sentences that makes me so damn curious about the dreams he has. So we can determine that he will NOT make a good spy or secret agent material. Sometimes he is just mumbling, but often I can hear what he says. And he moves his body too, I can’t miss that fact either, because our bed is only about 35 inches wide (90 cm).

He has only mentioned my name once and - luckily enough for him he has not mentioning any other names either…. Of course I wouldn’t hold that against him, after all you can’t control your dreams and they are not reality. But I would definitely tease him for it as often I could… *lol*

Very often he has some kind of nightmares - no not about me! At least I think not….? Hm… Anyway, they seems to be some kind of catastrophe dreams mostly. The other night he was talking about how cold it was all the time and where the life jacket where, so I wondered if he was on The Titanic? The dreams seems to be very exciting ones. Or should I say frightening ones?

When we were on one of the greek islands (Crete) on our honeymoon, we rented a jeep and drove around almost the whole island. If you shall go from the north side to the south side, you have to pass a lot of very high mountains with breathtaking views. The only problem was that both of us is afraid of heights, so I always arrived to the goal covered in sweat after the horrifying but beutiful drive and Mr Lifecruiser got nightmares about hights every nights. He was shaking and kicking his legs and saying things like: “No, don’t go there, don’t go forward to the edge.. and then started kicking… Obviously falling over the edge or at least close to doing it. Or was it me that he was kicking over the edge? Hm…

He has another funny (?) habit too - because of his very developed fantasy about catastrophes. He always come to think about a lot of bad things that can happen in different situations and that’s OK - as long that he is not telling me about them! When we’re on our way up in the elevator to the Eiffeltowers highest level, or in the cable ferry up to the Sugar Loaf in Rio, or on other ferrys. I’m not thinking about it or being afraid before he starts with his, most of the times, possible accident scenarios…. Pheeew!

Then we have the most interesting habit… He is going to kill me for this one, but it’s my revenge for him telling you about my nosething!

He farts in his sleep… Long impressive ones, with different tunes *lol*. Of course I have no picture proof like he had on my nosething, but the proof is that our matchsticks consuming is extremely HIGH. We light a matchstick every time there has been a farting in this home to take away the smell of it. I’m so afraid that it would be a big bang from all the gas.

Hm, OK, I fart too, butt only when I’m awake. *blushing* (Not sure which alternative is the worst though…?!)

NOTE: We can both of us do very strange things even when we are up and supposed to be awake too, so I guess this can be considered as normal behaviour in our home….

Any one who wants to come and visit us? No…..?

Supersized meals for hungry monsters

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Food
Mrs Lifecruiser as a hungry monster

As Mrs Lifecruiser is a hungry monster it’s not always so easy to feed here. On this picture she’s shovel in a big bite of our wedding cake and couldn’t resist the oppertunity to make a funny face of course, that’s my wife in a nutshell!

There is no need of a sign here that says “Don’t feed the animals”…. On the contrary, I have to feed her to keep her nice and quiet! Remember our earlier post about us trying to take pictures of the food on our travels? I blame it on her….

That’s why we were soooo very happy and excited when we found this really nice website about supersized meals.

She can sit and drool for hours about all the absolutely (for her) dreamy objects and get even more hungry - if that’s possible!

Then she takes a bite…… of me!

………….Help!

Go to Supersized meals

The petoholic wife

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Pets

Mrs Lifecruiser is crazy, you already know that yes. But do you also know that she is a petoholic?

Wherever we go she just can’t resist all the pets, want to take them with her home. I strongly suspect that it’s her hiding the elephant mentioned in the earlier post. I wouldn’t be surprised at all.

I’m sure she has pets hidden every where.

You know how it works, all the denial, accusing others for the same thing they are doing etc. She is accusing me for the pets. That’s a strong sign.

Always the same promise: “This is the last one, I swear. I need just this little one, then I can stop.”

There have been two last ones in a short time now.

Cat Stevens:

Lifecruisers cat stevens

The rabbit Agnes:

Lifecruisers rabbit Agnes

She is gettting deeper and deeper in the petoholic swamp, it’s a sad sight. It’s just a matter of time before she hang around with the other petoholics around the pet store, waiting for them to open.

Or even worse, stealing pets out on the street. I have to keep an eye on her all the time.

Any advice of what I shall do with her?

Promoting Love with Valentine

Posted by Lifecruiser in Love, Wise words
Make Love

There is not enough of true Love in this world.

Valentine is an important part of promoting Love, but we will not forget that every day around the year.

Valentine is a great day - it should be like that every day!

There is so many ways that we can show our Love, not only for our partner but for all of our near ones. There is so little effort needed and the result are so huge.

We will never forget to say the magical words. It’s more important that the words are said spontaneous than the amount of times we say it.

No one wants to hear them like they’re reeled off like a homework, we’re trying to visualize our feelings from the bottom of our heart in to the words and in our eyes - or we don’t say it at all.

There is too much rage, hate and envy around us - why bother to waste our precious time and energy to something so self destructive? That’s only to keep ourselves in a hurting box.

We don’t bother about what all the others are doing, we don’t expect to get Love before we’re giving it ourselves. We have started to spread Love around us and we’ll see the results of it. It’s like a smile, if we smile to people they smile back.

There isn’t such thing as too much Love.

Sure, sometimes there is one or two that isn’t open for our Love, but that’s their lost. We can never force some one to feel Love, it’s just something that hit us!

Things said about Love that we just nod yes too:

“Love as you would die today”. (Lucius Annaeus Seneca)

“Love is stimulation for the heart during simultaneous local anaesthesia of the intelligence”. (Guitry, Sacha)

“Love is a irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired”. (Robert Frost)

“When Love isn’t madness it isn’t Love”. (Pedro Calderòn de la Barca)

“Love doesn’t see with the eyes but with the soul”. (William Shakespeare)

“If Love is an illusion - then to hell with the reality”. (Elsa Gress )

“The cure for all blunders, the cure for blindness, the cure for crime is Love…..” (Emerson)

“The way to love anything is to realize that it might be lost”. (G.K. Chesterton)

NOTE: Pure Mood has put up an excellent contest for Valentine. Make sure you go there before Feb 4th and make your own contribute!

Do you have some other ways to promote Love?

He has left some trace after his wild party:

Basil is found sound and safe

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Pets

Pheeeew, we can relax again, Basil is found, safe and sound.

I suddenly spotted him up in the roof over my computer and I shouted happily to Mr Lifecruiser: Basil! He is back again!

We suddenly got very excited and happy. Now we can’t stop talking to him all the time, even whistle for him to come.

Of course he doesn’t but it’s nice anyway…

Some of our unusual pets

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Pets

Loose some win some, seems to be our saying about our pets.

Recently we lost our beloved pet Dusty and now we are afraid that maybe our net pet Basil has gone the same way, because we haven’t seen him for a while now.

Then we have some other pets, that Mr Lifecruiser won at some amusement parks. He is very good at aiming things and he is very determent, so he usually wins something.

Let us introduce them to you.

The Shark 1 and 2:

Shark 1 and 2 preparing an attack

They have som unusual colors to be sharks, turquose and silver grey, really fancy, but of course, they are old moviestars now and have to have some glamour. They are lurking under our witing desk all the time. Better to watch out, you’ll never know when the shark attack is coming!!!

The Zebra “Roger Pontare”:

The Zebra Roger Pontare

Named after a swedish artist that is known for his hairstyles, because he has a similar hair as him. Maybe they are relatives…? This one doesn’t sing though and we’re very grateful for that!

The giant panda Orvar:

The Giant Panda Orvar in front of the computer

Our biggest baby. He likes to sit in front of my computer and get mad at me when I won’t let him. He just sit at the bed staring angry at me for hours and hours!

Oooooh, by the way: They don’t want to go out in this winter weather either….

Travel report the past 2 years

Posted by Lifecruiser in Travel

During the year of 2004 and 2005 we did quite a lot of travelling. It was our intention to write something about them here, but we simply have been to busy. We’ll se when we have the time for that.

We will be publishing a photo gallery shortly, so keep your eyes open for that!

This will be a summarize instead, just to mention where we’ve been.

- Helsinki, Finland, 48 hours cruise
- Fårö/Gotland, Sweden, 1 week
- Milano, Italy, 4 days
- Algarve, Portugal, 1 week
- Paris, France, 4 days
- Fårö/Gotland, Sweden, 1 week
- Reykjavik, Iceland, 8 days *)
- Fårö/Gotland, Sweden, 4 weeks

- Crete, Greece, 2 weeks *)

*) The favourites from 2004 (except from Fårö which always will have a special place in our hearts!)

NOTE: The other trips were very nice they too, we just sorted out the absolute favourites. The lists is sequenced from the beginning of the year and forward.

It was our intention to go to Malaysia at a Spa and Golf resort for 2 weeks and The Philippines for 2 and a half month in the beginning of 2005 too, but after we (both!) had pneumonia and the tsunami came in, we cancelled the trip. It took us a quite a while to recover, we have never ever been so sick in our whole lives.

The travel list of 2005:

- London, England, 4 days
- Fuerteventura, Spain, 2 weeks
- Amsterdam/Haarlem, Holland, 4 days
- Fårö/Gotland, Sweden, 1 week
- West coast/Higlands, Scotland, 2 weeks *)
- Fårö/Gotland, Sweden, 6 weeks
- Cleveland/Ohio, U.S, 1 month
- Caacupé/Asuncíon, Paraguay, 14 days *)
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 3 days
- Natal, Brazil, 14 days

*) The favourites from 2005 (except from Fårö which always will have a special place in our hearts! We can repeate this how many times you want :-)

All trips except from the one to U.S were planned by ourselves, searching for all the information and booked at the internet. We don’t count the trip to U.S because that was a combination of visiting family and business, so there were no exploring of the country involved there. We wish to go to the U.S again sometime to explore at least some of the country and enjoy it.

Now we’re planning to stay at home for a while. We think… You’ll never know with us, suddenly we may take off somewhere again. But we have some important stuff to take care of this year, so it may not be as much travel as earlier, if we’re unlucky…

There are a lot of wonderful places were we want to go!!!
