Rules for bedroom golf

Posted by Lifecruiser in Love, Sports, Pleasure

As you may know, Mr Lifecruiser is a golfer and a darn good one. He had handicap 3.2 - before he met me.

Rules for bedroom golf

The player shall have an own equipment, a club and two balls.

Play on the course have to be acknowledged by the owner of the hole.

As a difference from outdoor golf is that you should try to get the club in the hole and the balls outside.

To get such a effective play as possible, the club should have a stiff shaft. The owner of the course reserve the rights to investigate the stiffness of the club before the play can begin.

The course owner has the right to limit the length of the club to avoid damages in the hole.

The meaning of the play is that the club should be bumped as many times as possible until the course owner is satisfied and the play is fulfilled. If you fail, you can be denied to play on that course again.

It’s considered as bad behaviour to play the hole directly when you have arrived at the course. More experienced player take the time to admire the course. Special attention use to be pointed to well-formed bunkers.

The players is warned to mention for the owner to the current course about other courses they have played on or regularly plays on. Annoyed course owners have for that reason hurted the players equipment.

Players is told to have proper rain clothes available for every eventuality.

The players should make sure about that their match is properly booked, especially when a course is played for the first time. Earlier players have been annoyed when they discover that some player plays on the course that is thought of as their own.

The player should not anticipate that the course always is available to play. Certain players feel troubled when they discover that the course is under temporary reparation. More advanced players finds alternative ways to play when so are the case.

Players is adviced to ask for the course owners permission first before trying the rear 9th hole.

Slow playing is encouraged, but players should be prepared to go on in a faster tempo, at least temporarily, if the course owner so wish.

It’s considered as an outstanding performance to play on the same hole several times during the same game under the same match.

Now Mr Lifecruiser only plays on one course of course - the main course - and has no handicap - at least not in the bedroom ;-)

Here he does hole in one all the time, it’s only at very rare occasions he would have needed a GPS…. *LMAO*

I didn’t know though that golf were a sport where you need to wear a helmet? I’ve got my head hurted once. No, I’m not telling you how!

Yes, it was some alcohol involved.

And he always wash his club and balls after every match….

Cleaning balls

*giggles*

Washing balls actually reminds me of my dog I had many years ago. He was always cleaning himself up at nights and especially when he was really tired.

Very often he was licking his balls (LMAO!) over and over and over and over again. He didn’t seem to think that they could be polished enough. They SHINED. You could mirror yourself in them.

Until his mischievous owner (me) felt like a bit teasing…. So I did put my finger right on his balls just to make them “dirty” in his eyes.

And yes… He made the most deepest sigh!!! And started it all over again…

Every time…. *giggles*

I wash you all a wonderful weekend ;-)

World Champion Icehockey 2006

The Swedish Yellow and Blue Flag

CONGRATULATIONS TRE KRONOR!!!!

Sweden won the World Champion Gold medal in icehockey today, for the fourth time in the last 16 years, after beating Czech Republic with 4-0.

On top of that, we also became the first nation in history to get Olympic and IIHF World Championship gold in the same year.

I say that very proudly even if I’m not even interested in icehockey, but I am very amazed over the victory.

How can such a tiny little country like ours, produce so many good sportsmen as we have done during the years?

We are only about 9 million inhabitants in this country with a landmass of the size of California. Yet we have a lot to offer whether it comes to different kind of sports, music, design, cooking, technology or inventions.

Is it the cold winters that gives us the fighting spirit?

I’m impressed over little ol’ Sweden…

Lies for punctuality

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Wise words, Sports

“The trouble with being punctual is that nobody’s there to appreciate it.”

[ Franklin P. Jones ]

That has happen to me a lot of times, as I’m very punctual of me. Have been anyway, not so sure any longer because people often get me to wait for them. I don’t like waiting. Who does?

Mrs Lifecruisers draws dressage horse

I once had an old friend, she was a pensioner. We shared a horse together and because of her skill, she was giving me private riding lessons too.

She was supposed to pick me up at the train station with her car and then we would drive to the stable. We decided a time to met. She never was there in time and she had the most fantastic stories about what have happened that had delayed her.

That wasn’t the biggest problem. It was the fact that she also should give me a lift to the station after the riding lesson and I had to catch a train to go to my work in the city - in time… Yes, as you have guessed, if I would have to relay on her, I would have been late every time.

So, what did I do?

I lied. Sometimes it’s necessary with a so called white lie. Instead of going through all that annoying stress mess every time, I told her that I had to make it to an earlier train than I actually needed. That way I was on the station about 10 min before the train should leave the station and I didn’t have to be stressed at all.

There are some people that just can’t be in time.

Sometimes it’s better to look for another, not so obvious solution.

The Avid Golfer

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Sports

Bill, the avid golfer, contacts a “Medium” and asks if there is a Golf Course in Heaven.

The Medium says that his request is a big order, but he will try and find out and get back to him in a few days.

After several days go by, Bill finally gets a call from the Medium. “Well,” said Bill, “what did you find out?”

“I’ve got good news and bad news for you,” said the Medium.

“OK,” “what’s the good news” Bill exclaimed.

“Well,” there is a beautiful 36 hole golf course in Heaven, and you’ll have 24 hour access with your own personal caddy,” blurted out the Medium!!

“And the bad news?” asked Bill.

“You’re due to tee-off this Sunday at around 10:30 in the morning,” the Medium said!!

Not enough golf

Posted by Lifecruiser in Sports

Mr Lifecruiser golfing

Poor Mr Lifecruiser. He played in a golf competition yesterday, at his home course, and it did not go very well. At least not after his standards. His handicap was raised to 4 after that.

That is partly my fault, because I keep planning so many journeys (11 last year and 5 so far this year) that he do not get enough time to practice golf anymore. I said partly my fault, because I do push him to go out and play - even when we are away.

He does not find it so easy obviously, there are so much other interesting and fun things to do!

Of course, it does seem a little bit hard to go out and play golf when the sky opens and there comes cloudbursts ever so often….

Maybe he should start a new type of golf, poolgolf….?

Our kind of work out

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Sports

shopmen

This is really our kind of work out! Standing still, indoors and just look like you’re doing something useful ;-)

We are very fond of these men. We took the picture in Amsterdam in April this year.

No, they aren’t for real…. They stood in a shop window there. Rather cool we think.

What do you think?

To a ranch in Paraguay

Posted by Lifecruiser in Travel, Sports

We have one trip planned for the moment and that is to Paraguay in November. It feels really exciting to have something so very interesting and fun to look forward to!

We are going to stay at a ranch there and are allowed to help them (don’t know if we are any good at it though!)driving the herds of horses and cattle, branding the calves, the taming of colts and medical treatments and vaccinations.

We will se how much ridning we can cope with, not much I am afraid, because of my back, but I am glad just to be around there and see them working and learn a thing or two about their country and culture.

They also gives the opportunity to take both tennis and riding lessons, as well as lasso lessons!

You will get a report afterwards, how sore our butts are, how much cowboys there are in us and how much we enjoyed our stay there with all the nice people at the ranch :-)

Take a look in to it: Estancia Aventura

Do not miss the pictures on their start page! Just wonderful, we got really excited. *jumping up and down*

Please, let us know if you have been there already and what your experience of it was!

We are also gonna do the excursions to the breathtaking waterfalls of FOZ DE IGUAZU, which is on the border between Paraguy, Argentina and Brazil and people claim it to be even more beutiful then Niagara falls.

Well, maybe we now get the opportunity to compare theese two, because we maybe will go to US soon, if everything works like it should… Can not say more for the moment….

From Paraguay we are flying to Rio de Janeiro, staying there for 3 nights and then we continues to Natal, which have the finest beaches in Brazil….. Do I need to say any more….?

*we keeps smiling and smiling silly happily*
