Exhausting shopping time

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys
Mrs Lifecruiser shopping outfit

Today it’s shopping time, so I’ve put on my best shopping outfit to look really chic.

That way at least something is chic… I’m not, because I’m not in the mood for shopping at all. I’m tired and it’s cold outside - a lot of horrible minus degrees. But we have to make a sacrifice here, it’s birthday presents we need to buy, we can’t ignore it.

On top of the fact that we must go out, we have the matter of our car problems. They’re still not solved after about x times and days at the car repairshop. *mumbling some really bad words*

Yesterday it stopped and was very diffult to start again. So if we’re really lucky, maybe our car won’t start at all. Then we have to stay at home for ever.

Yeah, that would definite make my day.

Strange habits around the clock

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Food

Well, we never seems to come to any proper bedtimes in this house… How hard can it be to go to bed?

The last weeks it has accelerated, we’ve been up day and night and maybe taken a short nap now and then. The strange thing is that it work out so good! And after all, it’s a pity to waste our precious time by sleeping it away…

On the other hand, we don’t think that it’s so healthy in the long run, so we better get our selves together and come back to normal routines.

But what is normal? Hm…. Is it not normal to sit in the kitchen at 8 o’clock in the morning and eat a real dinner?

We have done that for several days now. Pancakes one morning, maybe not so strange for you, but not at all usual here in Sweden. Sausage and pasta another morning and we had been eating fried eggs on sandwiches just a little while before that, so it was amazing that we could be hungry again!

Because of the fact that we are in hibernation, we haven’t so much food at home to prepair either, so it really keeps our ability to “do the magic trick” here. We can now determine that you get more hungry when you’re not sleeping enough. Yesterday I had a mountain of Nachos with cheese on the top for breakfast-dinner. I thought it was really yummy.

This night, I had been sleeping for as long as 5 hours, but Mr Lifecruiser woke me up because he was in the kitchen trying to take a sneak-meal! He should have known better (married to the hungry monster as he is), that I should notice something - of course I demanded my share of the goodies.

The conversations we have when we’ve been up for so long time, becomes really interesting ones. I have no idea what Mr Lifecruiser is talking about and he has no idea what I’m talking about and we both answer on totally different things - no wonder that our marriage is working out so good!!

We have become the masters of sleeping in front of the computers too. I found both of us sleeping, sitting in our chairs yesterday with our hands on the mouses…

Oh, now it strikes me real hard: maybe I should do something about my look and put on something really sexy to tempt Mr Lifecruiser to come to bed with me?

What do you say, is it necessary or am I sexy enough….?

Just click some where on the map and you get the local time, international calling code, area code and some blogs from that area - can it be any easier?

There even are features for making friends, travel information and more, maybe not so interesting things….

The first pets we got

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Pets

We have introduced a lot of our other pets, but not our first special ones.

This is how it all started:

We packed up a lot of Mr Lifecruisers things he have had stored before he moved in with me and among all that stuff there was a cute porcelain dog. I liked him at the spot and we named him to a classic dog name: Napoleon, shortened as Nappe. He is a Basset hound and rather old.

Immediatly we started to joke about it, that we had get a dog, who should go out with him and so on. Then the first relative phoned us and Mr Lifecruiser said as a joke, that we had get ourselves a dog. The relative didn’t get that it was a joke, as she has a dog herself and just got happy for us. She started to ask a lot of questions about the dog, which he tried to answer as good as he could with out any direct lies.

Then she spread the word to the others on his side of the family too, so without we were saying anything, they all thought that we was proud puppy owners and asked a lot of questions about him. And Mr Lifecruiser answered as good as he could again. Of course they thought it was strange (or probably cruel) of us to get a dog when we were out travelling so much as we did at the time…. We just said that: “Oh, there is so many that wants to puppy-sit for us…”

We mentioned it to the other side of the family, when we were at one of my sisters home, but she instantly said: “No, that’s not true because my sister would never ever leave the dog alone at home…” So that side of the family didn’t buy our lie at all.

Then we went for a trip to London and spotted a wonderful Jack Russel that I just MUST buy, I fell in love at first sight of him. Yoy know me, I’m a petoholic. He is brother to Kurt Russel, that’s how he got his name…. (Yes, I know it’s crazy but that’s how we are). He is so cute and have such a soft fur. So when we came home we just announced that now we had two dogs.

They believed us, but asked even more questions. They thought it was a little bit strange to get two dogs in such a short time, but we just said that Nappe needed some company. From time to time, we mentioned something about the dog, that they were playing, that Jack had his own chair in the livingroom (he is actually sitting in that chair yes) and other small things.

Coming home from our trip to Fuerteventura, Spain, we hold a Tapas party for both sides of family and that was the first time they should come to our home and meet our new dogs…

So just before that we went to the pet store and got a food bowl, a dog collar, lead, bed and a bone for the dogs. We placed the food bowl in the kitchen, the collar around Jack Russels neck, Nappe on the bed with a bone in front of him and the lead in the hallway to make it more authentic.

You should have seen the face of them when they arrived and realized that they were’nt real dogs! Aaahh, prizeless moments! For us anyway, I’m not so sure about what they thought…. *lol*

Well, yes, at least they smiled, so I guess they did forgive us…

* If you want to read about our other pets, they are placed under the category Pets.

The first ones out is from our journey to the guest ranch in Paraguay and Iguazu falls, after that it will be a few from Brazil and then from our other passed journeys too.

Take a peek at our Flickr photostream at their site OR by the cool photo badge (flash) in the right sidebar on this page. We have even added a menu choice “Photo” in the top of this blog, which will take you to our flickr photostream.

Enjoy our photos :-)

My husband in stay ups

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Love
Mr Lifecruiser adjusting his stay ups

I have a wonderful husband. He is not afraid of making fun of him self. I love him extra much for that. We have a lot of fun moments because of it.

This is a picture from our wedding party, where he was wearing his wedding clothes (from the 18th century) with stay ups!

He was forced to straighten them up all evening, because they kept sliding down all the time - and how sexy wasn’t that?! *lol*

I’m especially fond of the fun bows on his shoes, that really made him HOT. It doesn’t show properly on this picture.

No, I’m not going to publish any picture of me in stay ups - no matter what bribes you offer me….
