Tagged again, by Dave at The MacBeanGene. I strongly suspect that he is a secret agent and not the insurance agent that he claims to be…

Accent
Uh? No. Yes. Cool “Stockholmska”.

Booze
Normally (if there is such words for us ;-) we don’t need booze to have fun, but there is emergencys, when we’re in backseats of cars drinking whisky (and having toot ache). The rest doesn’t counts. The Dom Perignon, Campari, Beer - that’s just light stuff ;-)

Chore I hate
Mrs Lifecruiser: Ironing, which is ironic, since I have a lack of Iron now… I avoid to buy clothes that needs to be ironed. And there have been times when I went out to buy new clothes instead of ironing the one I had. I just couldn’t do it. But do notice: I have been ironing Mr Lifecruiser shirts - that’s what I call LOVE!
Mr Lifecruiser: Vacuum cleaning. Unless it’s done with our own housekeeping method #2.

Dog or cat
Yep, Love them all.

Essential Electronics
Mrs Lifecruiser:
1. Refrigerator - with FOOD ‘n DRINKS to keep the hungry monster calm and quiet…*drooling heavily*
2. Computer - need I say more?!
3. My baby Sam (camera) - to explore all the wonders in this wonderful world.
4. Stereo - music makes me high of joy.
5. Electric Shaver - you don’t want to se me grow leg sideburns or leg moustaches, do you? (Don’t answer that!)
Mr Lifecruiser:
1. Computer - for work and pleasure (netpoker).
2. Phone - so my customers can disturb my sweet dreams (and talking in the sleep) early in the morning. I’m usually not in shape to speak with them then…
3. Camera - to take embarrassing pics of Mrs Lifecruiser.
4. Stereo - for dancing with Mrs Lifecruiser.
5. Electric Shaver - to please Mrs Lifecruiser ;-)

Favorite perfume
Mrs Lifecruiser: Mr Lifecruiser, Food, Horse manure, Rotten seaweed, Wet dogs, Forrest, Sea, Dom Perignon.
Yep, I’m crazy. No doubt about that. Crazy in LIFE. Have you ever stopped to think about all the wonderful things life has to offer? Simple things like these in my list can actually be divine - comparing to not experience them at all. There is so many things that we take for granted here in life, that actually is every day miracles.
Mr Lifecruiser: Mrs Lifecruiser, Freshly baked buns, Food, Sea, Rotten seaweed, Whisky.
And you could beleive that I would add Farts here, but that’s just something in the air ;-)

Gold or silver
To speak is Silver, silence is Gold. (Old saying)

Hometown
Singing loudly with horrible voices: “Stockholm i mitt hjärta….”

Insomnia
Only if we giggles too much :-D

Job Title
Mrs Lifecruiser: Consultant/Project Manager (IT)
Mr Lifecruiser: Company owner/Marketing Economist
Nah, that sounded so boring, urrrk. Lets say: Lifecruisers, Enjoy’ers, Lovers.

Kids
Mrs Lifecruiser: 6 - my siblings kids - almost adults.
Mr Lifecruiser: 1 daughter, almost 22 years old.

Living arrangements
We travel as much as possible when health and wallet allows it. Living in a small apartment - not much to clean up :-), have a small bed (width 35 inches) and enjoy the closeness. It’s especially good for my back with Mr Lifecruiser as an radiator…

Most admirable trait
We have a strong beleive in Love.

Number of sexual partners
0 + 0 - Never had any sexual partners, only Love partners ;-)

Overnight hospital stays
Mrs Lifecruiser: Once when I was about 2 years old, I had some abscess on my stomach somewhere that they wanted to investigate further. I don’t know if they did what they should, but it was gone later anyway. I only know that they called my mother the day after and begged her to come and fetch me, because I had been screaming since she left me the day before… Stubborn already at that age, huh? Next time wasn’t until last year when they surfed around inside me to get my appendix out. I was in a hurry to get out of there this time too… or maybe they didn’t want me there this time either…?
Mr Lifecruiser: One time because of dizziness - and it was not caused by alcohol - or when I saw Mrs Lifecruiser the first time either ;-)

Phobias
Nothing. A little scared of heights… but we love to fly!

Quote
♥ LIVE, ENJOY, LOVE…. LIFE!

Religion
Mrs Lifecruiser: Love and food and computers.
Mr Lifecruiser: Love and golf. Hole in one ;-)

Siblings
3 + 3 = 6. Not much to say about them - they are related to us aren’t they…? That says it all.

Time I wake up
Tricky question… It depends on when we go to bed… and if we fall a sleep… or if we start giggling… and goes up again to get a snack…or having one of our famous morning dinners….

We just can’t answer this question!!!!

Unusual talent or skill
Our staying awake record is 37,5 hours…. Say no more.

Mrs Lifecruiser: Nosepicking Mr Lifecruiser or Farting.
Mr Lifecruiser: Farting in my sleep or my catastrophy fantasies.

X-Rays
Mr Lifecruiser: Knees, arms, stomach, brain, neck.
Mrs Lifecruiser: Left arm, knees, stomach, spine, but ooops - they missed the brain…

Yummy foods I make
That would take the rest of our lifes to write, so let’s just say: everything all the time!

Zodiac sign
Mrs Lifecruiser: Libra. Mr Lifecruiser: Taurus.

Swedish add:

Å
Ångrar ingenting. (Regrets nothing)

The Swedish Capital Stockholm

Posted by Lifecruiser in Travel, Photo, Swedish

As a sunday pleasure, I thought I should invite you to our city, the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. (Stock = log, holm = islet or small island). There is no clear evidence of how it got it’s name.

The earliest mention of Stockholm dates from 1252 (not counted as town until 1270), so we really do have an old town. The most popular part of it is called The Old Town and have very old buildings with narrow streets (Mårten Trotzigs Alley measures 35 inches between the walls!)
and a special athmosphere of time aging, like you were thrown back in time.

The mentions I’ve heard from tourists is that Stockholm has interesting architecture, it’s beautiful, clean, green (38 parks) and with a lot of water. Often called The Northern Venice - no wonder - it’s 14 islands joined by 53 bridges! The city is one third water, one third green and the last third is urbanized.

Mr Lifecruiser forced me to write this fact: Stockholm region has about 54 golf courses too.

The beautiful and popular stockholm archipelago starts here with it’s 24.000 islands, rocks and skerries. The sweatwater Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea at the sluice. Actually it’s several sluices, the most central’s name is Carl Johan after a swedish king, but it’s also called “divorce ditch” among people, because of all the problems and swearing that’s going on when boat people are going through the sluice with their boats ;-)

You can even go fishing in the middle of the city. The unpolluted swiftly-flowing water that runs through the city has the greatest number of fish species in the region. Salmon trout, pike, perch, bream, and salmon. The biggest known salmon caught there weighed 48 pounds.

Stockholm has 760 000 inhabitants. Greater Stockholm 1.900.000. (Sweden’s total: 9 millions). The average Stockholmer is 39 years old, earns SEK 20.500 ($2.622) per month, and has 1.36 children. And what about this fact: Stockholm has more single-person households than any other capital in the world. I can’t decide if it’s good or bad…. I think bad. I can’t imagine that all of them really wants to be single…?

Now we comes to the most important stuff for the hungry monsters like me: Sweden publishes more cookbooks per capita than any other country in the world, averaging one per day. We’re really appreciating good food, wanting variations in the recipes and have taken up cooking from all over the world. Only in Stockholm there is said to be between 1600-2500 restaurants. What can I say? We like to eat… Or maybe we need more because of the cold weather?

Mostly people come to Stockholm for the food, the design and the music. We enjoy the highest density of galleries and museums in the world, but there is so much other things to enjoy here too. After all, it’s a capital, so even the nightlife is high rated.

So what are you waiting for…?

NOTE: We’ve uploaded some old pics from The Royal Swedish Castle with surroundings, taken in springtime 2004. We were there to see the change of the royal guards (with horses, you know how much I love horses!) - and it was freezing cold. Brrr… Cold winds made our poor camera hands stiff, so no good photos…

Cheers for Friday

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Swedish
Mrs Lifecruiser Cheers

In Swedish: Skål för Fredag!

It’s foggy outside this evening… and obviously even here on the inside… *lol*.

We decided to cheer for the fact that it’s Friday. Seems blurry to you? It is!

Swedes do have problems with the alcohol - it’s too expensive! We pay bloody high taxes, so no wonder that we love to shop tax-free…

We can only buy alcohol in special stores, called Systembolaget. Not in ordinary stores. Well, sort of, very light beers, but not wine or anything else.

Have a toast with us! What can we offer you to drink? Champagne? Campari? Martini? Whiskey? Mixed drink with a colored umbrella?

C H E E R S. . .

[ H I C K ]

Oh, and you better hurry up with your orders while we still are able to mix your drinks properly - if you don’t like surprises…

Not much of a day

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys, Wise words

“If you haven’t found something strange during the day, it hasn’t been much of a day.”

[ John A. Wheeler ]

It hasen’t. Been much of a day. Woke up late, still very very tired. I guess it’s the anemia and lack of iron (read brain ;-) that does it, doing as little as possible of ordinary life stuff… and eating a lot, of course. We don’t want to wake up the hungry monster.

Suddenly the dark evening is on it’s way. This day is gone. Where? I don’t have the faintest idea!

But the night is ours…. hey, here we come!!!!

Mission ImPoossible

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys
Lifecruisers WC Door

The Mission was completed behind this closed door. The colored light pattern is not limelight, it’s reflecting light from a very small cristal ball that is hanging in the living room window. When the sun shines through, it reflects all over the apartment.

I guess that it wasn’t imPoossible after all… I’m talking about the mission I got from the Doc to sneak in to the most secret place and get 3 very vital….hm… secret whisper: excrement (not experiment!) samples. One of the most disguisting missions I’ve had in my life. *urrkkk*

But a secret agent has to do her mission and don’t back for anything. I won’t say that it didn’t demand much from me, but it was not imPoossible. It was some problems trying not to contamination the sourroundings though…. but I succeeded at last without any complications.

Mission completed!

This disc will self destruct in 5 seconds….

Blonde Cowgirl

Posted by Lifecruiser in Odditys

Field Reporter: Miss Ass. Lifecruiser

Amy, a blonde Texan city girl, marries a Texas rancher. One morning, on his way out to check on the cows, the rancher says to Amy:

- “The artificial insemination man is coming over to impregnate one of our cows today. I drove a nail into the two-by-four just above the cow’s stall in the barn. You show him where the cow is when he gets here, okay?”

So the rancher leaves for the fields. After a while, the Artificial insemination man arrives and knocks on the front door. Amy takes him down the barn.

They walk along long row of cows and when she sees the nail, she tells him: - “This is the one….. right here.”

Terribly impressed by what he seemed to think just might be another dizzy blonde, the man asks: - “How did you know this is the cow to be bred?”

- “That’s simple. By the nail over its stall,” Amy explains.

Then the man asks: - “What’s the nail for?”

- “I guess it’s to hang your pants on,” she tells him as she walks away.

This is an Atlantic Ocean King Crab the fishermen in Mallaig harbor (west coast) in Scotland catched. It had a width of about 35 centimeters (13-14 inches). One of the biggest of the fishermen was obviously choosen to deal with the crabs claws. He had a very hard time broke them so they couldn’t grip something it shouldn’t…
Secret whisper: Maybe he should have worn a suspensoar too…?
