Since I haven’t been able to travel for a while, the old trip devil started to make a lot of fuss, so I decided to dream for a while. This is only 10 of my 100 dream destinations where I wish I could be beamed right now…. *giggles*

1) Vienna

For as long as I can remember, it has been one of my travel dreams to go to Vienna to see the Spanish Riding Shool performance and also to the federal stud Piber where they breed the famous Lipizzaner horses. They have a history of more than 430 years and is the only institution in world that still cultivates classical dressage in Renaissance tradition of haute école.

If going around New Years Eve, there is a gala performance by the Spanish Riding school at 11.00 a.m. for guests of the Imperial Ball on Dec 31st. It would be a dream to go to the famous Kaiser Ball in the Hofburg Palace, an ancient imperial winter residence and dancing into the New Year in a Viennese waltz…..

2) Africa

I would go on a safari in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. To the Migration Camp where you’re staying in tents, but still luxury – they have hardwood floors and overstuffed leather chairs. I wanna listen to the sounds of lions, hippos, baboons, giraffe and buffalos in the night. This is the place where you have a whistle to blow when you want to be escorted from your tent to the main building.

After the safari when I luckily have avoided to be eaten by the lions, I wanna go and relax at the Zanzibar tropical beaches (an archipelago off the coast of Tanzania). It would be as an experiment if we really can manage to just relax on the beaches. Usually we don’t. We tend to begin to make trips to explore more where ever we go!

3) Venice Carnival

I wanna see the wonderful costumes and masks in the Venice Carnival, from Jan 25 – Feb 05. Thousands of people comes there for street theatre, pageants and masked balls. The theme for 2008 is not yet defined I think. I can image that there is a lot of elegance, Italians usually are.

Maybe we would wear our 18th century wedding clothes at this carnival, it sure could fit in since it were in the 18th century that this carnival had it’s heyday. Though we might not have too good masks, so we don’t recognize each others in the crowd!

I’ve heard that it’s very expensive in Venice, but since I’m dreaming I don’t have to think about that… *giggles*

4) Australia

There are so many fantastic experiences to make in Australia, it’s on the opposite side of the earth globe for us Swedes, so it’s a long way from home!

Going so far away, I feel like I should at least want to stay away for 3 months to be able to not stress around too much and really see everything. I wanna go to New Zealand, Sydney, Cairn, Uluru – Ayers Rock, Great Barrier Reef, Darwin & Kakadu National Park.

We’ve seen a movie about the great barrier reef and it was an amazing experience already that!

Plus stop by Leura, NSW to say Gday to aka Racquel :-)

5) Bahamas

After all that round touring in the big Australia I would need some relaxation on the beaches of Bahamas. Doing some island hopping with a few (OK, many!) drinks with parasol in it – any one that wanna come along? *giggles*

6) Argentina

I wanna go horse back riding in the Argentina nature and at the beaches. I’ve been dreaming about riding on a beach for my whole life. I got close in Brazil, but I were ill. And I wanna see a real flaming Argentina Tango. Preferable out in the streets and not in a show. Or both. Oh, I wish I were that good at dancing, how fun it must be!

Luckily, we’re soon going to some some more of Argentina in an upcoming cyber cruise by TorAa :-D

7) Mexico:

There are several places in Mexico were I wanna go here: Acapulco, Cancun, Mexico City, Playa del Carmen.

The reason for choosing these places is that I haven’t heard of any others except from the Uxmal and Yucatan peninsula where A. guided us before in a cyber cruise.

I love to see Mexican clothes and hear the Mexican music. Not to mention the Mexican foooooood! Boy, I would be in heaven… Probably I would die on my mission there, from too much, too spicy food for my stomach!

…and too much Tequila! *giggles*

8) US Part 1:
This would be a very long trip, at least 3-6 months, since there are so many places to see there. Going from coast to coast – of course in a cabriolet!!!!

Places to visit: New York, Washington DC, New Orleans (with a paddle streamer in Mississippi), Texas, Tucson with Arizona & Utahs dramatic landscape, staying over night in Grand Canyon, Kanab, Zion National Park, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco & The Golden Gate, can’t miss that!

Oh, and Kennedy Space Center in Florida, which I’ve heard so much about from people who have been there.

I would of course go to Los Angeles with Hollywood and the famous Universal Studios. Also to visit Mark, a really nice guy I know who lives there and makes special effects for movies.

9) Hawaii, US Part 2

I think I’ll end the US trip with 3 months on the Hawaiian islands, having a verrrry long honeymoon with Mr Lifecruiser, since EvNucci has told us that Maui is such a a romantic place…. I could stay here for ever. No, not for ever. I want to travel, remember?

Oh, and no internet connection! Ehrm… maybe a little, otherwise it might kill me… *giggles*

10) Hurtigruten

Hurtigruten is a Norwegian cruise at their stunning fjord-filled west coast. It has been an attraction for more than 100 years, I think that says it all! This coastal Voyage goes from Bergen to Kirkenes via North Cape and back. I wanna go the full voyage, which lasts 11 days and during the period when it is most likely that you get to see the Northern light.

As a fact, putting together this list, took me many, many hours because I got stuck on all web sites and photos, dreaming about being there when seeing all those stunning images! I was THERE! *giggles*

Of course, my highest wish is that I could afford going on a trip around the world, for years, as many years as I felt it would still be fun and interesting.

Maybe 10 years? *giggles*

There is only one thing to do, pack your suitcase(s) ! I also would like to see the Serengeti park and Australia, from the USA I have seen the places you listed when we visited my aunt in Madison/Wisc. and combined it with each time another part of the States during 8 years ! My dream for the moment is to go on a cruise to the Northpole ! There are some from Amsterdam I guess. One of my neighbor has done it and she was absolutely enchanted!

A great list of beautiful places to visit. I would love to go to Venice too. A family friend went there recently for a vacation and she told me of how beautiful that place is. She gave me two beautiful masks as presents.
