Manzanilla barrels in Sanlucar by Lifecruiser
Manzanilla Aurora, Sanlucar, Spain, 2008.

The Manzanilla barrels are labeled Aurora, from the old distinguished Bodega Pedro Romero founded already in 1860 and run by the same family all this time.

Manzanilla is a rather delicate, dry sherry which is made and matured in Sanlucar de Barrameda in the South of Spain where we were a year ago.

When drinking Manzanilla, you better put up some bounds on your rounds with drinks, because it’s quite easy to get headaches from it… I say no more…. *giggles*

I’m glad I got tagged to show my 6th photo in my 6th folder on my computer, because it reminded me that I still have a lot to tell you about that 4620 km roadtrip to Spain!

Read more of this photo meme rules at Sanni and also check out which bloggers that got her generous Bl-Oscars.

*BRAVO* Not only that I love the photo, you also brought many many many Manzanilla-related memories back – although I wonder how it’s possible to have any memories after drinking Manzanilla.

I’m pretty sure I’ve had one (some) of Pedro Romero’s Gold edition when we had a romantic dinner at “Can Pedro” (my favorite restaurant in Genova, Maj.) while we’ve been to Sapin at the beginning of February. We’ve been there to watch the almond trees in blossom – but one never needs an excuuuuse for Sherrrrry, riiiight…? :-D

Don’t ever get drunk on manzanilla, it’s … well, not nice. Ask Mr Mar about it. Second thought: just believe me, don’t mention it to him

    Lovely 6th shot, C’ptain.
    Cheers!

Nice photo ! Fortunately I don’t like Sherry at all not red not white, nothing. I prefer a glass of dry white wine instead or bubbles of course !
