Lifecruisers contribution to theme Wild
© Lifecruiser 2005 (Iguazu Falls, Brazil, South America)

Theme: Wild | Blogroll Info | Next week: Silver

Photo from our trip to Iguazu waterfalls (on the border of Brazil and Argentina) from Estancia Aventura, Paraguay on our South America trip 2005.

Iguazu has 275 (!) waterfalls with an average height of 40 an 80 meters! Much more beautiful than The Niagara Falls! We were visiting Niagara the month before, so we really had it fresh in our memories for comparison.

The Iguazu falls is situated in the beautiful Iguazu National Park, which has 67.000 hectars of tropical rainforest, so it really is out in the nature and not at a city area like Niagara falls.

I think I have to write an own post about this fantastic trip later on… See it in pictures is not quite like in real life, but gives you a hint :-)

Wow ! Your trip must have been wonderful ! I love waterfalls, they really are wild ! I were a little disappointed about the Niagarafalls, I thought it would be much wilder.

P.S. You can also mention your background, it’s also wild !

Lifecruiser: Ha ha ha, yes Gattina you’re right, the flaming background is wild :-) I agree with you at the Niagara Falls, I too were disappointed actually.

This goes perfectly with the wild-theme! Scary-wild, kind of – there’s something so powerful in big, high waterfalls. Or maybe it’s just my fear of heights :D

Have you noticed that you might want to call the fire brigade – you blog seems to be on fire? *grin*

    Mine’s up too!

Lifecruiser: Yes, and I can tell you that you really could walk on the edge of some of the falls, THAT was scary! Phew!

It’s LOVE flames…. Our hot love put the blog on fire…*lol*

That is an excellent choice for this week’s theme! You can almost hear the water rushing over the falls as you look at the picture and feel the spray. Fantastic!

Lifecruiser: Yes, there was a constant noise I can tell you and humid air getting you all wet :-)

Beautiful! Just gorgeous. :) It sounds like a wonderful trip. I think Niagara Falls is beautiful, but it certainly is an urban area.

Wonderful photo choice. :) Have a good weekend.

Lifecruiser: Thanks. Well, after seeing the Iguazu falls, the Niagara falls is like a little baby comparing to these ones! That’s all I can say…

Lifecruiser: Thanks. They really are the very best. I wonder if they might be the most beautiful in the world actually. And that’s why it’s a pity that so few have heard of them! It’s very well arranged there too.

I do love a good waterfall! This is a very majestic and wild foaming fall! Makes me think of last summers trip to Niagara Falls! Great shot!

My photo is up! Happy Saturday!

And here are pictures of our trip last weekend to the falls http://fruityspirit.com/archives/262

Lifecruiser: Yes, they were majestic alright! Much more feeling of power than Niagara falls even though Niagara falls is nice too. and above all: 275 waterfalls beats almost anything… But every waterfall has it’s charm :-)

I love your pics, so I’ll pop over :-)

Wild woman that you are, I thought you were going to show us your boobs or something.

Great waterfalls ~ almost as good as our own Niagara Falls ~ now don’t try going done them in a barrel!!

Lifecruiser: Ha ha ha! Not quite like that ;-) No, no, Iguazu falls beats Niagara falls thousand times!!! The Niagara falls is like a little stream comparing to the wonderful amazing Iguazu – and Iguazu is so much more well-organized with walking paths extremely close and on top of the falls – right there on the edge of them!

What a great photo! Those waterfalls look so powerful and wild  I can only imagine what a fabulous trip that was!!

Lifecruiser: It was difficult to take photos because of the humidity there and we didn’t have that good cameras, otherwise the photos may have come out even better than this. But it sure is difficult to get it all in one picture – 275 falls!!!

What a gorgeous and WILD place to visit. I hope they are able to preserve this for generations to come. Simply lush!

Lifecruiser: Yes, since it’s a national park and on the world heritage list I think they will be able. At least that they’ll try as long as it can be done.

Wow beautiful falls! They do look wilder than Niagara Falls! Do people try to go down in barrels like at Niagara, that would be wild but suicidal :) Happy Photohunting :)

Lifecruiser: Well, I didn’t hear of any barrels, so let’s hope not :-) They were definitely wilder than Niagara falls…
