There is a lot of beautiful beaches and other places at Fårö island, Gotland, Sweden. We never get tired of watching the sun go down on this magic island. This time we want to show you the sunset at Skärsand beach.

We thought that this photo above turned out rather well in that sense that it looks so unusual, almost like it was painted with that ship anchored up. Dark and magic.

There were a lot of sea birds flying around in front of the sun when it was going down, quite difficult to catch on photo though, so we’re proud over this one.

A red sunset but with golden color shadows…. ah… such a beauty.

You know us that well, we could sit and watch such a sunset in silence – don’t disturb the beauty of the nature.
Just sitting there and feel the tiny breeze from the Sea and feel we are close and experience such a wonder…

    Z U next Sunday. It’s a year ago…

I know I rarely comment here but I do read your blog -faithfully -via my reader and your photos do strange things to me. Like make me long to be able to someday visit these beautiful places of the land of my forefathers. The sunsets -totally awesome! The water -likewise. And if brings a tear to my eyes too knowing my great-grandparents once had to choose between a country where they couldn’t clothe their children but which had so much beauty to offer and another country where they could build a home, feed and clothe their family of 12 and make a rich life for themselves amid the forests of this great land. Two loves -intermingle there for me. One for Scandinavia and the other for America.

What beautiful sunsets and great photos of them, too. I love the top one with the silhouette of the ship.

Sunset is one of those things, which can be observed for hours, though it doesn’t last for so much. But I wish to see it alive, but not alone. This is the most romantic period of the day, which seems to be created for the couple, just to show that not everything is bad in this world.
