    Wow! Are they some kind of fern or palm for no.1 & 3? I can’t believe plants like these make flowers or fruit like that. I’m gong to see if my dwarf palm might do something one day. I just thought it would continue to be a green thing sprouting 1 new branch every year. Thanks for raising my eyebrows with those lovely photos.

    Lifecruiser: No 1 is a Encephalartos ferox, S Africa, growing on the ground, but the other one I don’t know the name of and that was more like a Palm.
