1. My nicname is Baldie Hawn. My going bald thing is going fine thank you! Meaning that I’m still loosing hair, but not in the same amount as earlier, but I still can’t notice any hair growing back either. And what do the Doc say? Nothing! He won’t even take new tests to see how my lack of iron is going. He doesn’t find it necessary he says. I soon find it unnecessary to have a doctor.

2. The same doctor recently wrote a doctor’s certificate for my back problems for one more year. I’ve been ill for 5 years now, struggling with chronical back pain. Now they say one more year to go and the second big investigation and maybe rehabilitation has to wait in the line for a couple of months. And he thought I sounded dejected and found that very remarkable. I find it remarkable that he found that remarkable.

3. I’m so happy that I don’t have a beard! But I really wish to get rid off all my other body hair though. I’m so sick and tired of shaving all the time. Why wasn’t it all that hair that fell off and not the ones on my head? And no, stop shaving is no alternative here, I find it GROSS with body hair. Waxing is no alternative either, mostly because you have to have some hair to pull to do the waxing and I don’t want to have that stubble at all! I want to get laser beamed… Hopefully not by aliens ;-)

4. I almost never watch TV. I’ve switched it for blogging, which gives me more than that brainkilling programs they send. When I recently accidently did watch, it was about nudists and a man that’s exchanged his wife with an crocodile… That convinced my once more!

5. I need to have two brekfasts. One light first and then a second one an hour later. I must eat very often or I’ll get too hungry and feel sick. This also means heavy nightly snacks. Which means that I’m building up even Mr Lifecruisers beautiful body with a manly belly (paunch)…

6. I’m eating some pills from the health food shop now, with (among other things) a lot of B-vitamines in it, to make my hair grow back, which makes me even more like a hungry monster than in normal cases. Now the hungry monster climbs the walls of desperate hunger. I have noticed that my claws nails are growing faster – not any monster hair yet though. And Mr Lifecruiser, the poor man, has to be watching out to not be eaten alive! He do feed me a lot, but just out of pure survival instict! To keep me nice. (Wrooooar!)

7. We had a lot of plans for August and September, to do a lot of things, to go out and have some shorter road trips and other things. Nothing of this has been possible. We’ve both been ill several times in several ways, several other persons close to us have been having problems of different kinds. And here we are – still at home! At the time when we get more healthy there going to be winter over here and then we definitive won’t go out. We’re in hibernation over the winters.

8. In fact, we’re having trouble to get anything going or done. We’re dead tired. No, not old, don’t say that! Just worned out. Even to cook dinner is like a big event over here, but that is kind of essential…

9. We don’t get to the grocery store for weeks… We do invent new meals this way, based on what we actually got at home. We hoard like maniacs when we do go shopping, so we don’t need to go for a long while. Meaning that Mr Lifecruiser have to carry a lot of bags when we finally do, because I’m not allowed to. Which makes his back protesting.

10. Sometimes if we run out of milk or something more basic, we have to go to our nearest little neighbourhood store. It’s name is Favoriten, but really this is no suitable name! Even though I do appreciate that it’s there for us, we call it Snusket. Translated that means like Dirtyness.

11. Now, about dirtyness…. We’re practising our own housekeeping methods, so our home is never presentable enough to invite people here. So we’ve become hermits.

12. Our near and dear ones can tell us anything, we won’t be surprised any more. It has happened so many things the last couple of years that we actually feel a bit blasé about everything. We don’t even raise our eyebrows when some one tell us something, that normally would have been very exciting or disturbing or whatever, but now it just leaves us with an: “all right and now what?” Because there is always a continuation….

13. Sometimes I get the feeling of that the whole world is strucked by the bad luck curse. There seems to be so much more bad luck of every kind in this world nowadays than I experienced it like when I was younger. I never heard about all of these kind of bad things, anxiety and other things that I hear of nowadays.

Has it increased or is it only a coincidence that we experience here? What do you say about it, did you experience things much more peaceful and uneventful around YOU before?

Wow. This is a very different post for my traveling blogging friend. I hope things look up for you soon and that you feel better and keep all your hair and wits and wittiness. Would you like to be in my prayer job jar? (I blogged about it some time back).

My TT about my thirteen food triggers is up.

Lifecruiser: Yes, it might be, but I can’t always just write fun posts can I? *lol* Life isn’t always fun, but please don’t misinterpret my T13 – it’s said with a twinkle in my eye too :-)

Honestly, to your question my opinion is the more technology we have, the more advanced we become, the more bad things happen because it can happen. The brushstrokes have been broaden, so to speak.

Oh and I hate waxing!!!!

    Happy Thursday! Mines up!

Lifecruiser: Yes, you’ve got a point there!

I think you need a new doctor…the one you have isn’t doing his job!

Lifecruiser: Yes, that I’ve established a long time ago, but I should also tell you that this IS a new doctor. It’s VERY difiicult to get doctors appointment here nowadays and the ones available are not good. They have too much time pressure on them and are not feeling well from that themselves, stressed out and with their hands tied on their backs of regulations, economy and so on. Many doctor’s even quit because of the bad situation. I’ve almost given up after all that has went by… *sigh*

We go through the same thing when it comes to grocery shopping. We buy for a month at a time and since I also have a bad back, the men in the family have to carry everything into the house. My job is to keep the animals inside while they’re doing it and then putting everything away. I think they have the easy part. ;)

As for your question I remember a quote from a long ago television show where one of the characters asked it there were more murders now (the show was done during the height of the hippie age) than 20 years ago. The main character answered with “There are more murders but it is only because there are more people.”

    Have a Happy!

Lifecruiser: Sounds like they have the easy part yes :-) Well, it’s kind of true, but not the whole truth, we are more people now, but there aren’t more people around me than before and the people around me nowadya have so much problems which didn’t appear in the past in this way. It definitely has increased – even among the youngster, so it’s not the fact that I’ve become older.

I hope Mrs Health visits you to stay (it’s a female noun both in Spanish and German. In French too, I guess).
I think we have too many information channels nowadays so we hear more and more about how weird mankind is.
I should organize my grocery shopping better, I am at at more than 4 times a week…
happy thursday and happy TT
(why don’t emoticons show in the comments and only the code??? )

Lifecruiser: Ahh, that’s why – we don’t have Mrs Health over here. So do you think I have to go to Spain? (say yes!). Well, it’s not only the general mass of people I talk about here, but people in my surroundings and it have never been like that before. even younger people, so it’s not the age :-)

About the emoticons: I’m sorry. They don’t work as they should and either I or any one else have been able to clear out why. I’ve searched for the answer every where earlier and tried everything. Then I decided to change template, so I didn’t find it necessary to try to fix it before that or take it away meanwhile. But times goes by fast, so there has been no change of template – yet! Have patience with me :-)

The irony of having to shave while your losing hair on your head is too much! You’re sense of humor always shines through though. I just read a great housekeeping tip on someones blog having to do with creating a housekeeping file and then deleting it! It was much funnier than I can relate.

Mine have just washed up. I hope you’re not too tired to visit sometime!

Lifecruiser: Ahh, good, you spotted the sense of humor in it anyway :-) I was afraid that everybody should take it too serious, like I’d be depressed. I’m not. I’m a very realistic person though, that isn’t afraid of saying my opinion on something that I find bad. How ever, I do adjust to the reality I have in front of me and do the best of it.

I saw that housekeeping file too, that’s a good one.

I will visit you, count on that, even if I’m tired, I find that relaxing :-)

Man, you sound down or are you just wanting to get this whole thing off of your chest…which by the way is what blogging is for…venting!! Sometimes that is what I do…VENT!! I am sorry about the doctors!! You say this is a NEW one too…Well…I have chronic back pain and I found that excercise is the best way. I go to CUVES here. I don’t know if you have anything like that there but it has really helped me a lot. I am off to the doctor this morning in fact with a bad sinus problem. My voice is awful and my throat worse. By the way just how old are you? I am 61…I am OLD!!

Lifecruiser: No, no, not down, just venting the truth! You don’t fell me that “easy” :-) If you’d been a regular reader of our blog, it might have been a little easier for you to grasp our twisted humor mixed with true honesty ;-)

Well, exercise does help in the beginning to get better from the worst phase, then it’s just maintenance and I can’t come any further with that. Nothing more to do about it obviously. I just have to live with. The thing that’s disturbing me most is the time it takes for their wheels to spin…. It’s tough like a chewing gum… *lol* And you hardly have anything to say about it even if it is your body. Strange but true.

I hope the vitamins you are taking work to make your hair grow back. I had a friend who was taking special vitamins to make her hair grow, if I can remember the name I will tell you later. I think these vitamins were working for her if I remember correctly.

I hope your back pain goes away soon too!

About #5 on your list: My aunt is the same way, she has to eat several little meals every day or she will feel sick.

And about #12 on your list: I know what you mean about that. It seems like almost nothing can surprise me anymore because so much has been happening amoung friends and those I know in the last several years, it’s just like “Okay, and what else?” Nothing’s a surprise or a shock.

Lifecruiser: Yes, I do hope so too! Ah, finally a person that understood EXACTLY what I meant with #12! Welcome to the club ;-)

These are not odd facts. :) Not at all.
I love the fact that you freed yourselves from being the victims of washing and cleaning up. I hope i will evolve this way one day too. It is so time consuming to organize things in my flat and after a few minutes it all looks like after a tornado anyway.
And you don’t watch TV! Nether do I! Don’t you think it’s liberating? To get rid of the habit of gaping at the box?
And I’d like to know a few of your recipies for your home cooking:)))

Lifecruiser: Well, the thing with the housekeeping did take a lot of years, I admit that. Yes, it really is liberating to not have to watch TV and get indolent from it. It’s much better to other things to get your brain working instead! I know what you mean about the recipes. I’m always interested in others cooking too, but to write it down? Well, that can take some time…. *lol* We’ll return in the future with some of those :-)

Seems like you’ve had a few strokes of bad luck indeed. But hair is overrated and who cares about shopping and bad TV when you’ve got everything you want around you?

Personally, I haven’t seen much of the world to notice any bad luck. Things have been going as if in a dream state, with hiccups of eventfulness that made me feel quite at ease.

Things may be changing. I have a cold. First sign of bad luck coming my way?

Lifecruiser: That sounded very nice, with the dream state I mean. But only if people don’t drag you into reality all the time as theye tend to do over here….

Oh oh, be aware of the bad luck… Maybe you just got it from us…? *horrible thought*

Sometimes I think I would enjoy being a hermit
I could even order my groceries online!!!

I wonder a lot if things are really so much worse and people really so much more evil or did it just seem better because I was young & didn’t really understand.

I think it’s just that bad…people have gotten to concerned with themselves and the things they have…greed & money can cause good people to turn bad…there’s just not enough love anymore

Lifecruiser: For me and people around me it’s not just the age thing, it’s something more. I totally agree with you about the lack of love and gredd though. It’s a sad development!

I find that life here is about the same as it always has been. People seem to complain a bit more I guess. But I never listen anyways, ha,ha..

Hope you get healthy soon and can take another trip somewhere. Preferably where there are other hairy women..

Lifecruiser: Aha! Sooo, reallly, what I should do is to go somewhere with hairy women.. Italy here I come!!!! *lol*

i’m so sorry you have been ill for a little while..you and the hubby. with all those plans, i feel bad that you didn’t get to them. i hope things improve soon. about your doc…get a new one..soon, asap, right away..he is a jerk and not taking you seriously..if you had someone looking after you properly, maybe you wouldn’t be feeling sick as much and as often..run away if possible.. hugs.

Lifecruiser: I know, I know,, that’s a good advice Chana, problem is that it’s very hard to find good doctors here nowadays. I’ve already changed them a lot and running out of alternatives soon… I’ve temporarily kind of given up, but I’ll guess I’ll come back soon and really do something about it again.

That’s an interesting list and it got me thinking! Yesterday I was at a lovely piece of land outside the “normal” where one could live self-sufficient. It was great, but spoiled as I am: I’d miss my internet. Shame on me! ;-)
My TT was up early, but today I visit others.

Lifecruiser: Yes, we really are spoiled in some ways and not in others :-)
