Before going away on a trip – or maybe even before booking it – it’s a good idea to check the weather, to know where the best weather is, what to expect and what to pack.

The Firefox addon 1-ClickWeather is a great travel tool. It gives you a lot of 1 click choices instead of just one type of forecast.

  • A quick view of the current weather
  • Doppler radar maps (severe weather alerts, when applicable)
  • International satellite maps
  • Up to 5 days forecasts within the browser
  • Instant access to hour-by-hour and 10-day forecasts
  • Video synopsis of weather conditions for the next 72 hours

I really liked the fact that I could choose where I wanted it, in my case up on the menu row, since my status bar is full…

One more thing: it gave me an excellent forecast for Stockholm today with a big sun! We hardly have seen it at all lately, so I’m heading out in the sunshine!

Check out all the other Firefox weather addons if you don’t like this one above.

So is it 5 day forecasts or 10 day forecasts? I’ll be happy if I can wake up and get the weather forecast right just for the whole day.

Thanks for the tip. Its installed and on my status bar right now and I like the weather forecast too. You know we’ve had days of snow lately, but now FireFox says there is hope for sun ;-)

If you want to plan your holiday (to Paris at least) a bit further ahead than a week – I have a chart on my blog which tells you year round weather in Paris

You could probably find something similar for other countries too
