Mrs Lifecruisers Going Pink Badge
Join Going Pink
Come on guys - you like boobs don’t you? ;-)

Why is my blog all pink suddenly?

Simple explanation:
We want to support breasts. No, it’s not a Bra I’m talking about ;-) I wish it were so simple. It’s to help “create awareness of breast cancer issues, especially the importance of early detection”.

Complicated explanation:
A lot of bloggers choose to “Go Pink for October to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get people talking about breast cancer, and raise money for research” as stated at pinkforoctober.org.

Hopefully this will do some good for future victims - it could be you or me the next time. I’m actually surprised that research hasn’t come further than it has.

Especially with the Mammograms - why are they so difficult to perform and being so unpleasant? If they were easier and more of them, a lot of cases could be discovered much earlier and maybe even save some one.

I have seen cancer in close distance. The very worst case. I won’t go into details here, but NO ONE should be ending their lifes that way.

Cancer is a very ugly desease and if this going pink can support the fight against it, don’t you think it’s a rather small effort to do? I do.

Despite the fact that I don’t like pink, so my own eyes will go sore every time I look at this!

What a wonderful thing you are doing and what great links you have shared. Thank you so much! *s*

Lifecruiser: Thanks Chi. I hope it will help somehow or someone :-)

Sorry I just can’t do it! I have seen lots of things going pink this month. Soup cans for one! This is a great thing you have done here! Boy talk about eye strain. I lost my mother, father and stepfather to different kinds of cancer. My hubbys ma is dealing with a non-invasive type of breast cancer right now. She has surgery in a few weeks! So cancer is something I do understand. Great that you have done this!

Lifecruiser: Oh, you really have the bad experience about cancer, I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope it will go well with the operation. It’s so sad that this ugly desease exists ;-(

Cool! Yeah, it’s A LOT of pink, but that was the whole idea, so… (I see you got the pink 9rules badge as well, hehe.)

And it works. I was going to make a donation to our national Cancer Fund but still hadn’t done so. Seeing this sea of pinkness reminded me of that and I just made the deposit.

Today is World Animal Day as well… Boy, so many causes that need our attention. We’ll just keep trying to do our little bit then, ey?

Lifecruiser: That’s great. I hope we all get reminded about this. Animal Day hah? I had completely missed that, I’ll have to check that up too! Thanks for the tip.

Lifecruiser: Yes, it really is bright, I might be needed to hand out sunglasses to my visitors! *LMAO*

I support the cause but I just can’t turn my blog into something pink-dominant. It simply isn’t my color.
    :-)

Lifecruiser: That’s no excuse - especially not since I’m doing it and I actually hate pink!

    8

:razz:It is nice of you to do this. Ugly but nice, ha,ha..

Lifecruiser: I so totally agree about the ugly fact, it’s horrible, my eyes is sore, but it makes me smile too :-)

Lifecruiser: Ahh, what’s that comparing to breast cancer? I actually hate pink and you see here! It’s for a good cause, you have to think about that! Yes, I love that header too… *lol*

I am not a pink person at all and was wondering about the major change on your template but now I now why, congrats on supporting this!!!! thanks for suggesting the sunglasses :)

Lifecruiser: Well, I have to admit it’s kinda hard, but it’s for a good cause, so I have to swallow my disguist for the strong pink, it really is noticable isn’t it? *lol*.

Well, my boobs are “okay”. ;)

My friend just had breast surgery a couple of weeks ago. I have never known any one so closely so affected. Really knocks it home.

I LOVE your pink, and the meaning behind it.

I’ve posted my Wordless Wednesday, too. ;)

Lifecruiser: Glad for you :-) Hope your friend is recovering well!

Lifecruiser: Yes, it’s such a small effort for such a ugly desease!

Oh, I think this is wonderful! Going pink is good (besides the fact that I love pink, it’s a good cause (wink, wink).) I was ROFLMBO over the picture in your banner!!! What a hoot!

Lifecruiser: Thanks flipflopmama. I’m kind of fond of that pic myself, but really, the pink? :-)

    16

Doing a wonderful thing….thank you!! Go Pink!

Lifecruiser: Yes, and it really is pink isn’t it? *lol* I thought that why don’t make it really pink… *lol*

At first when I saw your header, I got a case of the giggles, but breast cancer is nothing to laugh about. I had to back away from my monitor a couple of inches, because of the lovely bright pink color, I admire why you’re doing it. It is a wonderful cause and if it helps to save a life, you’ve done a wonderful thing by supporting breast cancer awareness.

Lifecruiser: Well, I tend to make difficult things less difficult that way, it’s just my personality I guess, so I love that top picture. And it may catch some eyes for the good cause too.

Thanks for visiting my WW today. Have a good one!

Lifecruiser: Yes, it sure is. i hope it will make more people go pink and increase the discussions about it.

    21

 OMG! That banner up there is like… ewwwwwwwww and hilarious all at the same time!

Lifecruiser: I know, I know… It’s there to catch attention and I think it does!

Awesome idea. And not intended for any kind of snide pun here—-but this is showing heavy duty support!!!

    (also love the header…too funny)

Lifecruiser: Well, you should know how big sacrifice this is to me - I hate pink and my eyes will sore the whole month, but that’s nothing comparing to what the victims of this horrible desease is suffering!

    23

    Hahaa I love the header!
OMG I so feel like that!

I have said that if I can find a certain photo to post from the past when my boobies were not pointing downward, I would post on the boobie-thon.

    Cheers to you
    mine is up

Lifecruiser: Yes, I think we all can relate to that pic in some way and that’s why I love it so :-) Good luck with the searching for boobie-thon. Maybe you should just tape them up? *cheers*
