Ah fascinating creature, very painful stings.
Lifecruiser: Hm, yes, you don’t only get a sting in your heart for it’s beautiful….
August 30th, 2006 at 5:57 am
Hmm, looks like something I would not want to step on at the beach. Interesting picture.
Lifecruiser: No, not me either…. Lucky they was big, so it’s difficult to miss!
August 30th, 2006 at 7:25 am
Looks like a really big blobby jellyfish! The kind you hate to step on because they feel so icky! Great shot! You have some good one! Mine is up. Happy Wednesday!
Lifecruiser: Yes, they sure are icky, but at the same time like art to watch :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 1:23 pm
We have the transparent ones along our coast, I guess they are all beautiful and mean  Happy WW!
Lifecruiser: We too, on the east coast, small ones, that don’t sting. But this one is from Denmark actually. I have ni idea how nasty it can be… thank god :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 1:48 pm

Lifecruiser: Yes, but still not too dry :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 2:04 pm
I’m glad I haven’t gotten stuck by one of those.
I’m up too.
Lifecruiser: Me too, but we don’t have any stingy ones at the east coast, luckily.
August 30th, 2006 at 2:22 pm
This is an awesome shot! I love all things jellyfish. Some of them are so beautiful. Not to get stung by mind you, but beautiful to look at. My WW is up!
Lifecruiser: Yes, they really are beautiful, fantastic creatures, to watch them float around.
August 30th, 2006 at 2:23 pm
That’s a jellyfish? Kinda looks like a cow patty. Has to be neat to see one up close like that.
Lifecruiser: Yes, I know it looks really icky at the same time as it’s fascinating and beautiful art :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 2:34 pm
Eeeewwww… ucka jelly! Looks like a MUSHROOM! LOL!
Lifecruiser: Actually I have a shot of one that even is more icky than this one. That one we spotted in Scotland…
August 30th, 2006 at 2:38 pm
What a cool picture. Like you said, it almost looks like art!
Lifecruiser: Yes, it truly is. Wonderful creaturs mother nature creates hah? *lol*
August 30th, 2006 at 2:58 pm
You have jellyfish that don’t sting? Can you send some over here? They are fascinating to look at, if you can avoid the tentacles.
Lifecruiser: Yes, transparent ones, often rather small ones. It’s nice to not to have to worry about the sting.
August 30th, 2006 at 3:16 pm
Cool picture of the jelly fish!!! They are really neat creatures but don’t want to get too close:) Mine is up. Happy Wednesday
Lifecruiser: Thanks Julie. I’ll pop over and see what’s up on yours :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 3:25 pm
I *love* jellyfish–expect when they’re stinging us!
My WW is up: http://faeriedust2001.blogspot.com/2006/08/first-pointe-shoes.html
Lifecruiser: I really don’t know if this is a stingy one, but I suspect it is.
August 30th, 2006 at 4:20 pm
Yikes! a jelly fish.
Thanks for coming.
Lifecruiser: Yikes but yet beautiful :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 4:32 pm
Pretty to look at, scary to touch! I’ve only seen the clear ones. Thanks for sharing. My WW is up.
Yes, that’s why I thought this one was special, it’s usually mostly transparent ones you get to see. I don’t know if this ones is very common or not over there in Denmark.
August 30th, 2006 at 4:36 pm
Looks like a jellyfish! I had done one from our area several weeks ago. Yukky creatures!!! But, one fantastic photo!!!

Lifecruiser: Yes, jelly and stingy, yet so beautiful on picture at least :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 4:57 pm
You know, sometimes I feel just like that picture looks.
Thanks for stopping by my WW today!
Lifecruiser: Yes, i know exactly what you mean… I just waited for someone to point that out. It was kind of my meaning with this pic too :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 5:26 pm
It looks like a mushroom cap, but since it is in sand, I suppose it isn’t! Very interesting picture!
Lifecruiser: Yes, it certainly have some interesting inside!
August 30th, 2006 at 5:30 pm
Cool picture.
Hope you keep your feet farway from the stingy stuff.
Take care,
Frances
Lifecruiser: Well, it wasn’t exactly like it was going to jump right up at that time ;-)
August 30th, 2006 at 6:01 pm
I had a VERY painful experience with Jellyfish (the one that got me was huge), so I’m not very fond of them. I like to stay far, far away from them!!
Nice photo…as I say from the comfort from my home very far away!! ;)
Lifecruiser: Yes, I guess that you have to really experince it before you really know what kind of pain you’re talking about… Not that I want to find out though….
August 30th, 2006 at 6:19 pm
At the first time I thought It was a cake or a gustard-tart. I didn’t have my glasses. One second later, I saw the sand. A sweet pudding on the sand! NO!
So I red the comments and even without knowing this word “jellyfish”, I realise that was a “méduse”. But I know only the clear ones! I like this colour of caramel but only the colour I suppose you would be very ill and burned on your mouth if you would eat it!!!!!
Lifecruiser: I had never seen any one like this one either before. We only have the clear ones too. This is a very artistic one though :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 7:14 pm
Wow look at the colour!
I bet in the water it is still colourless, or at least clear!
I wonder if it would live it the tide came back and took it.
Lifecruiser: Rather celar in the water I guess too. Maybe it would have survived, it looked so fresh.
August 30th, 2006 at 7:39 pm
my daughter got stung by one at myrtle beach, then it got infected, it was a mess.
Lifecruiser: Yes, I’ve heard about that, sounds horrible!!!!
August 30th, 2006 at 8:08 pm
I’ve never really seen a jelly fish but I would have to say that that one looks a little sunburned! It is reather interesting though!
Lifecruiser: It’s beginning to get dry I guess. Though it’s kinda beautiful I think.
August 30th, 2006 at 8:12 pm
 oooooooo scary be afraid, be very afraid! Happy WW! mine’s online too!
Lifecruiser: Yes, but it was stranded there, so no harm was done. The poor one must have died…
August 30th, 2006 at 8:53 pm
What an interesting color on the jellyfish:-)Happy WW
Lifecruiser: Yes, it sure is :-)
August 30th, 2006 at 10:27 pm

Lifecruiser: Yes, not any closer thank you :-)
August 31st, 2006 at 4:13 am
It looks like an amber, not like a jelly fish:)))
Lifecruiser: Well, maybe it’s affected in the same way as amber, because where this little fellow come from, Denmark, they have had a lot of amber.
August 31st, 2006 at 1:54 pm

Lifecruiser: Thanks :-)
September 1st, 2006 at 7:43 pm
