Mrs Lifecruisers contribution to theme Lost
Magazine Ad from Husmodern 1923
This is an Ad from an old women magazine in Sweden called Husmodern (Housemother).
The text below the child says:
“Look how much water and I who have forgotten Sister Ellas children soap at home!”
I found it in a year book of the magazine Husmodern, at the elderly home where my Mom lives. It did belong to someone that lived in this elderly home, but has passed away.
Conclusion: This is a child from a lost time who have lost the soap. The owner of this book is lost too. My digital camera lost it’s battery power while taking the shot, so I lost my mind ;-)

NOTE: Every comment is equally welcome, even if you’re not participating in this Photo Hunt-thing, we LOVE all comments :-)

Ooouu I’m first! (maybe). Great job on the lost theme! My pictures are pretty lame this week. But oh well I played.

Worked late last night for our project cutover! You know what that’s like. It is almost two weeks long our cutover. This weekend is bringing the new system up with all the bolt-on applications. Next weekend is deleting all the data in the new system that is not needed by the new company. Ah…it’s been a fun project…NOT! I’m tired and need some downtime. :|

Lifecruiser: Sorry, not first :-) Just me that is late to apporve the comments. I’ve been out seeing other inteerst things that you’ll know about in a later post… Ah, projects, the word is giving me the shiver… *lol*

I so enjoy your picture for this week’s theme. I also like your added text to it as well. I loose my mind a lot too :)…
Have a wonderful weekend in Sweden. Hope the weather is not too bad yet.

Lifecruiser: Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I love old things. Well, the weather is grey, but at least no rain or snow - yet, so we’ll have to be pleased with that :-)

Heh, so you multiplied the theme :D
I love those old magazines - I’m old enough to get some “good-old-times”-vibes from them…
    Mine’s posted too.

Lifecruiser: Well, I just love them because they start my imagination of how it were back then. somehow that’s more fascinating for me than imagine the future because this has really happened. The future feels so unreal.

This was such a tough theme for me. You did something really interesting with it. I love the glimpse of a “lost time.”

Lifecruiser: Thanks. Yes, it both can be easy or tough, this weeks theme, depending on what oppertunity you have to take pictures of something that touches the subject.

That is a lot of “lost” in one small post. I am enjoying all the interesting interpretations of the theme this week. Yours is something very different. It’s not often (okay never) that I see old ads from foreign magazines. ;-)

Lifecruiser: No, it’s not often I see it either, so I enjoy it the more when I do :-)

Lifecruiser: Thank you Mar, but NOT for the weather report. I hate that. It’s not fair! I wanna have 20ºC too, but I thank for trying to send me sunshine. The sun is trying, but there is yet too much clouds. Maybe it will have a break through later today….

I love the explainations that you write for your photos. :-) You’re too cute … just like that old photo too. I love finding old photographs and old advertizements - especially if they have the prices in them because it’s fun to see how little some things cost way back when.

Lifecruiser: Thanks Tricia. As I love to read yours and especially your garden posts that always is excellent! You’re right there, I do wish that this Ad had mentioned the price too. It couldn’t have cost much at 1923.
